I structure my time, otherwise the weeks go by and the manuscripts don't ever really get any closer to being finished. When I sit down to write regularly, I like it so much I wonder why I need to even structure the time.

I'm working on my second novel, The Ivory Needle. Here's the premise:
A shy teen, forced to spend the summer with her grandmother in Africa, connects with the spirit of a murdered elephant and struggles to save the last two of its magical tribe from poachers bent on slaughter.

I'd been working with a teacher, trying to learn to effectively access my inner guidance. I thought it would be fun to write a book showing the difficulties of it, and stick this them into the pages of a dystopian adventure taking place on another world.
I was right! It was fun . . . and I'm still trying to learn to follow my own guidance.
