I deal with writer's block in one of two ways.
The first is probably not how writers should deal with a lack of inspiration: I take a break. I come back to the writing when I think I have something to write. The problem with this is that sometimes those breaks can last for days, weeks, months, even years! So I don't recommend that method.
The second way is the more productive way. If I'm not getting any ideas or I've written myself into a corner, I reread what I've written. I'll edit or revise. The brain is a weird mechanism. A lot of times, to get myself into the groove of writing, I need to get into the groove of writing, if that makes sense. Just putting my head into a writing space is sometimes enough to get ideas flowing.
