E.P. Roberts Sorry for the very late answer, Kim. There will be a new run of printed editions of both the first book in the series; "Crescent of Death" and the second in the series "The Martyr's Sword" at the end of August, 2016. In the interim the eBook versions of both versions will be available in early August at Amazon.com.

Thank you so much for your question, and once again, please forgive my late reply.

Cheers!

E.P. Roberts I will start by stating, most emphatically, that I don't believe in the phenomenon commonly referred to as "writer's block"...

I believe that as a writer, I can at times become a bit lazy and look for virtually any reason not to sit at the keyboard and write...but this is not due to a "block" of any sorts in terms of knowing what it is that I want to write.

What I mean by this, is that we, as writers, must approach writing in much the same way that we approach any other type of work, whether at home or in the workplace; that is to say, our work won't get done on its own, we must "do" it.
E.P. Roberts There are so many wonderful things about being a writer, but I suppose that the best is also the most humbling to me; and that is when people that I do not even know, take the time to contact me personally, to tell me that they enjoyed my book...that to me is an incredible thing, and it never seems to lose its magic, nor leave me without awe. Truly humbling indeed...
E.P. Roberts Know your subject matter, and do your research! Readers today tend to be very well informed, through a variety of means at their disposal. Build your characters and pay attention to the chain of events in your book. Also, and perhaps most important of all, don't think of yourself merely as an "aspiring writer"...start writing and become "a writer".
E.P. Roberts I am currently working on, and very close to publishing, the 2nd book in the John Lloyd Series, entitled "The Martyr's Sword" which takes place in the country of Yemen, on the Arab Peninsula.
E.P. Roberts I suppose the best way to describe my own inspiration to write came from my love (since childhood) of reading the works of the great authors of the world, and realizing the importance of writing as to how it serves to "tell the story".
E.P. Roberts My professional career entailed clandestine intelligence operations, and I spent most of my career in the Middle East and North Africa, as such, I came to recognize the great threat that the Islamic Republic of Iran is to the region, and after leaving government service, I decided to write the John Lloyd Series not only to express my views of the two regions, but to try and impart to my readers a glimpse into the world of shadows and intrigue that is the world of International Espionage.
