Mira Day Their sarcasm and wit. I love a good smart ass :)

I've been told that I'm a very sarcastic person (I'm sure my friends are laughing at me now) and the idea that I can bring that out a little more through my characters and give them the ability to do and say things I can't is almost like therapy.
Mira Day I hate Valentine's Day. People put so much into whether or not they have a date that night.

I'm in a writing group and we're putting together holiday collections. Its a fun project and the ladies I'm with are amazing! Choking Cupid was an anti- Valentine's Day story so I figured, what's the worse things that could happen to me on this day?

Mira Day Music. I listen and try and picture what the artist is saying. I play out the scenes in my head and describe them to myself. Sometimes reading and thinking of someone else's artistic perspective can really push your brain to do amazing things.
Mira Day My imagination can finally run wild without the weird looks! Actually, I still get the weird looks, but at least I can say it's "research".

Mira Day Ha, I still consider myself one as well. To be honest, I think I'll always feel that way.

Remember we're ALL in the same boat. We all get writer's block, we all think we suck from time to time, and we all love to celebrate each other's successes so make sure you join writing groups big and small and talk to them. Going through a negative thought is always easier with a support group.
Mira Day I'm currently in the final touches of my debut book, Playing House and in the mist of having a anti-Valentine's Day story called Choking Cupid published.
Mira Day I've been writing randomly since high school. I use to write, what I called poems back then, but ramblings to get my feelings out. I stopped for a few years until by friend Bree and I had a conversation on writing our own stories after reading a popular book at the time. I started and just didn't want to stop.
