I was a little inspired by Twilight, a bit by biblical tales, and a lot by a desire to see African-American leads in a romantic and adventurous story. But mostly, I got the idea for my book from prayer. I'm not trying to be weirdly religious when I say that. Honestly, I started asking God to give me some ideas. I wanted to make a great, creative and inspiring book, and I asked God for a lot of help. Needless to say, the ideas started flowing like crazy. Oh, wait, is that the last of the questions?

Little do you know, there's a huge chance you're contributing to the deadly, and negative image machine that influences our own oppression.
