I have always been interested in the possibility of living dinosaurs. I also like to write science fiction and fantasy. I've even named my WordPress blog, The Weird and Fantastical Writings of Ken David Stewart.

I don't know. Sometimes I'll get inspired if I have plotted out a few scenes that I am eager to write. Some days when I don't feel that inspired, I force myself to get to my keyboard and tell myself that I'm only going to write one sentence today. Usually this gives me enough momentum to write more.

The Lake Demon, A Novel. I figure that I am about three quarters way finished.

If you enjoy writing, don't stop writing. I have found it valuable to read a lot and to listen to a large variety of audio books. Every time you write you are increasing your level of skills. When you read voraciously you are also picking up writing skills by osmosis. Since I started considering myself to be a writer I am very intentional about reading other author's work. I keep learning more about writing every day.
Above all, don't quit even though you will sometimes think that's what you should do. I think all writers go through this. When daily writing sessions become an addiction then you are half way there to becoming a good writer.

The best thing about being an indie author is that you are your own boss. You have times in the day where you can live in a reality that only you have created.

Fortunately, I suffer less from writer's block than when I started writing. I believe that writer's block is mainly caused by anxiety and a lack of self confidence. I find that the best way to handle writer's block is by brainstorming ideas. If I take time to think about future possible scenes for the novel I'm working on, some ideas are sure to come up. It works something like breaking up an ice jam. Once you get an idea or two the next ideas will come more easily. The trick is to believe in yourself. You have to keep telling yourself that you are a good writer.
