I believe that writer's block is mainly caused by anxiety and a lack of self confidence. I find that the best way to handle writer's block is by brainstorming ideas. If I take time to think about future possible scenes for the novel I'm working on, some ideas are sure to come up. It works something like breaking up an ice jam. Once you get an idea or two the next ideas will come more easily. The trick is to believe in yourself. You have to keep telling yourself that you are a good writer.(less)
