I open a blank word document and set up a playlist. I put earbuds into my ear and press play and close my eyes while breathing deep. Sounds corny - I know - but it works for me.
Then I just start typing - anything and everything. Whatever comes to mind. Random words, random thoughts or phrases. I call it my "word dump" - and somehow as i'm doing this - something pops out almost like a neon sign flashing before my eyes - and BOOM - my block is gone. :)
OR: I "blue sky" with a great friend of mine . Tossing out ideas, even names for characters and that's helped too. :)

I always thought I was crazy to have all these characters in my head, yelling at me to write THEIR story. Then I did - and I met a ton of fantastic authors - who are the same brand of crazy I am! It's great to know you're not alone - that there are people out there who "get" you.

If you want it then do it but never think it's easy or that there is big money in it. But if its your passion and it feeds your soul?....then how can you NOT do it?

I'm currently working on a new series about three brothers. The titles (which are subject to change at my discretion) are: Recovered Love, Runaway Love and Hopeless Love. I hope to have the first one out to you by early Summer.

Lots of things inspire me. Music, quotes and i adore people watching. Some days in comes easy and other days I really need to close my eyes and focus - but I love it!

That quote sparked a small kernel in my mind about all the disappointment and betrayal that I've gone through and/or friends and family and from there - my characters Cherry and Sawyer were begging to be heard.
