Bu da ancak, fert ve toplumun kendi düşünce ve iradesiyle varolması, kendi ayakları üzerinde yürümesi, kendi elleriyle işlemesi, kendi temel kültür malzemesiyle beslenip gelişmesi, millî şahsiyetini hırpalayacak taklitlerden sakınması; örf-âdet ve millî hususiyetler gibi asırlardan beri kaynaya kaynaya benliğimizle bütünleşmiş şeylerin, fevkalâde hassâsiyetle korunup kollanmasıyla mümkün olabilecektir.

Öze dönme, ırkî bir tavır, kan bağıyla hareket etme, yada dış dünyaya karşı bütün bütün fermuarını çekip kendi modeli içinde sıkışıp kalma mânâsında anlaşılmamalıdır. O ne zamanın dişleri arasında aşınıp giden ve maddî-manevî hiç bir değer ifade etmeyen şeylere gönül kaptırmışlık, ne de temelde bize ait olmadığı halde sonradan içimize sokulmuş yabancı değerlere, bâtıl inançlara ruhî ve zihnî tekâmülümüzü engelleyen eskimiş şeylere bağlılıktır. “Sevgi, dünyaya gelen her varlıkta en esaslı bir unsur, en parlak bir nur, en büyük bir kuvvettir ve bu kuvvetin yeryüzünde yenemeyeceği hiçbir hasım yoktur. Sevgi evvelâ bütünleşebildiği her rûhu yükseltir ve ötelere hazırlar. Sonra da bu ruhlar sonsuzluk adına doyup duydukları şeyleri bütün gönüllere hâkim kılmanın kavgasını vermeye başlarlar. Bu yolda ölür ölür dirilir; ölürken 'sevgi' der ölür, dirilirken de sevgi soluklarıyla dirilirler.

Sevmeyen ruhların olgunlaşıp insanî semâlara yükselmelerine imkân yoktur. Evet onlar yüzlerce sene yaşasalar dahi olgunluk adına bir çuvaldız boyu yol alamazlar. Sevgiden mahrum bu sîneler, bir türlü egonun karanlık labirentlerinden kurtulamadıkları için, kimseyi sevemez, sevgiyi sezemez ve varlığın sînesindeki muhabbetten habersiz olarak kahrolur giderler.

Çocuk, ilk defa dünyaya gözlerini açtığı zaman sevgi ile karşılaşır, şefkatle gerilmiş ruhları görür ve muhabbetle atan kalplere sırtını vererek büyür. Daha sonraları ise, bu sevgiyi bazen bulur bazen de bulamaz; ama bütün bir hayat boyu hep o sevgiyi arar ve onun arkasından koşar.

Güneşin çehresinde sevginin izleri vardır. Sular buhar buhar o sevgiye doğru yükselir; yukarılarda damlalaşan su habbecikleri, o sevginin kanatlarıyla kanatlanır ve nâralar atarak başaşağı toprağın bağrına inerler. Güller, çiçekler sevgiyle gerilir ve gelip geçenlere tebessümler yağdırırlar. Yaprakların bağrına taht kuran jaleler, durmadan çevrelerine sevgi dolu gamzeler çakar ve sevgiyle raks ederler. Koyun, kuzu sevgiyle meleşir ve birleşir; kuşlar ve kuşçuklar sevgiyle cıvıldaşırlar ve sevgi koroları teşkil ederler.

Her varlık, kainattaki yeri itibarıyla bu geniş sevginin bir yanını, parlak bir senfonizma ile seslendirmekte, irâdî ve gayr-i irâdî, varlığın sînesindeki derin aşk ve muhabbeti göstermeye çalışmaktadır.

Sevgi, insan ruhunda öyle derin izler bırakır ki, o uğurda yurt-yuva terk edilir, icabında ocaklar söner ve her vâdide ayrı bir mecnun 'Leylâ!' der inler. Ruhundaki sevgiyi kavrayamamış sığ gönüller ise bu işe delilik derler..!

Diğergamlık ve başkaları için yaşamak, insanoğluna ait yüksek bir duygudur ve kaynağı da sevgidir. İnsanlar arasında bu sevgiden en çok hisse alanlar en büyük kahramanlardır. İçindeki kinleri, nefretleri söküp atmaya muvaffak olmuş en büyük kahramanlar... Ölüm bu kahramanların soluklarını kesemez. Hazân onların çiçeklerini solduramaz. Aslında her gün iç dünyalarında ayrı bir sevgi meşalesi tutuşturup, kalplerini sevginin, mürüvvetin meşcereliği hâline getiren ve duygu dünyalarında açtıkları yollar ve tünellerle bütün gönüllere girmesini bilen bu çalımlı ruhlar, öyle yüksek bir divandan 'ebed-müddet' yaşama hakkını almışlardır ki, değil ölüm ve fânilik, kıyametler dahi onların çiçeklerini solduramaz ve kadehlerini deviremez.

Çocuğu için ölmesini bilen anne büyük bir şefkat kahramanı, ülkesi ve insanı için hayatını hakîr gören fert bir millet fedâisi, insanlık için yaşayıp onun için ölen kahraman ise, sînelerde taht kurmaya hak kazanmış bir ölümsüzlük âbidesidir. Böylelerinin elinde sevgi, her düşmanı yenebilecek bir silah, her kapıyı açabilecek sihirli bir anahtardır. Bu silah ve bu anahtara sahib olanlar, bugün olmasa da yarın mutlaka bütün cihanın kapılarını açacak ve ellerinde muhabbet buhurdanlıkları dörtbir yana huzur kokuları saçıp dolaşacaklardır.

İnsanların gönüllerini fethetmek için en kestirme yol sevgi yoludur. Ve sevgi yolu peygamberler yoludur. Bu yolda yürüyenlerin yüzlerine kapılar kapanmaz! Ezkazârâ, birisi kapansa bile onun yerine yüzlercesi, binlercesi açılır. Bir kere de sevgi yoluyla gönüllere girildi mi, artık halledilmedik hiçbir mesele kalmaz.

Ne mutlu sevgiyi kendine rehber yapıp yürüyenlere! Yazıklar olsun, ruhundaki sevgiyi sezemeyip bütün bir hayat boyu kör ve sağır yaşayan talihsizlere!”

“Allah Resûlü (sallallâhu aleyhi ve sellem) en inatçı, küfre âdeta kilitli insanlardan bile hiç ümidini kesmemiş ve fasıla vermeksizin tebliğ ve irşadına devam etmiştir. İşte böyle bir anlayıştan hareketle, karşımızda Ebû Cehil bile olsa, ümidimizi kesmeyerek, usûl ve metotları iyi ayarlayarak İslâm’ı anlatmak bizim vazifemizdir. Bizim için esas olan, gönüllere Allah sevgisini duyurma, insanların küfr‑ü mutlakını kırarak onlara ahiret duygusunu aşılama olmalıdır. Bence bir insana bağışlanabilecek en büyük hediye de işte bu olsa gerek. Bu da ancak, küreselleşen ve gün geçtikçe küçülen bir dünyada, diyalog ile, müsamaha ve mülâyemetle olacak şeylerdendir.

Bakın dün gazetelerde boy boy aleyhinize yazılar yazan insanlar, bugün özür diliyorlar. “Sizleri yanlış anlamış, yanlış tanımışız!” diyerek itizarlarını dile getiriyorlar. Şahsen ben, bana bu türlü itiraflarda bulunan birkaç kişiye “Estağfirullah, belki biz kendimizi anlatamadık, sizde günah yok!” dediğimde, onlar civanmertliklerine bir civanmertlik daha ilâve ederek “Hayır, Hocam, itiraf ediyoruz. Biz yanlış yaptık!” diyecek kadar civanmertlik sergiliyorlar.

Bu çarpıcı misalden de anlaşılıyor ki, bizim dünyamıza olabildiğince yabancı bir kesime İslâm’ı anlatmada benimsenecek yol, diyalog yolu ve müsamahadır. Hem Allah’ın kullarına kin ve düşmanlık duymaya ne hakkımız var ki!

Demokrasi ile uğraşmaya gelince; daha önceleri de çeşitli vesilelerle ifade ettim: Bırakın böyle şeyleri; bunlar bize ait meseleler değil!

Bu bir düşünce meselesi. Hatta ruhta terakki meselesi. Bugünkü insanlar sistem olarak bunu yeterli buluyorlar. Belki yarınki nesiller, onu rötuşlayacak, farklı hâle getirecek ve onunla yönetilmeyi isteyeceklerdir. Dolayısıyla bu, içine girilmiş bir vetiredir. Ve bu vetirenin sonu ise, bugünkü insanlar olarak bizleri çok fazla alâkadar etmez.”
