“Psychologie moet zowel proberen verklaren als proberen begrijpen.”

“Within idealism, the epistemological form is the most common variant. This means that we can only know reality through our senses and our own thought processes. When you consider this carefully, it makes a compelling point: we have no direct access to the world. Everything passes through observations gathered by our own eyes and through reasonings occurring within our own brains. There is no direct knowledge of the world independent of the person possessing that knowledge. Consequently, we can only know the world through our senses and our own minds.”
