The Gemstone Series as Ebooks Brings Hawk and Sienna Back!
Do you remember "Hennessey "Hawk" Jackson the reluctant seer, and Sienna Russell the Last of the Stonekeepers? This couple was one of the most creative pairs of my imagination. Turning the Gemstone Series into ebooks is so-o much fun. I find myself sincerely asking and wondering as I make the OCR corrections, "What's going to happen next?" Join me and discover the answers too these questions by reading the Kindle Edition trilogy which includes: The Passion Ruby, Emerald's Fire, and the last book, A Diamond's Allure which is currently an ebook work in progress.
Jason Momoa is Hawk! Clueless But Having Fun
Truly, I have no idea how to approach so many of the things that are available to stay in touch..such as this blog, but as before, I've never let that stop me.
A DIAMOND'S ALLURE went live yesterday in the Kindle Store, and I was sooo impressed with the love that permeated the pages I was inspired to share the power of that love...Hawk and Sienna, THE GEMSTONE SERIES with the world. So I got this brain buzz just as I was reveling in the fulfillment of accomplishment. I remembered one of the first conversations I had with a reader who attended my first booksigning of THE PASSION RUBY in Tampa Florida in 1995. She was so taken with Hawk and how his hazel eyes changed colors with his emotions. This really sent her...you know what I mean? As I thought of her reaction I thought...What actor reminds me of Hawk? And bam! Jason Momoa's face popped into mind, and I knew it was a direct hit! Jason Momoa when he wore his locs that is. It was as if, I saw Jason and he WAS Hawk. Perfect match. So in my excitement I went to the internet and found all these gorgeous pics of "Hawk", and then I went to my Eboni Snoe: The Life, Books and Times Facebook page and announced to the world, in an all caps caption above one of the close ups of his face, that allowed you to look deep into his eyes, "This is Hennessy "Hawk" Jackson. Who's Sienna? It could be YOU! Experience the GEMSTONE SERIES," I continued in my exuberance. " The Love, The Mystique, The Adventure." I even went so far as to post a photo of Jason and his wife, Liliakoi Moon, professionally known as Lisa Bonet, paying homage to their relationship and asking her acceptance of a few thousand of us borrowing her husband in our imaginations every once in a while. Well...lo' and behold! After I got quite a few of you stirred up (the facebook analytics attested to that) my husband casually questioned the legality of it all. Du-uuuh! Oh my goodness... Within no time at all I removed all of the images, including the ones on Twitter, and placed a somewhat awkward photo of myself in their place, and basically apologized for the faux pas, saying in general I had no intentions of doing anything that might put me behind bars. So what do I have now of "Hawk"? One public domain photo with an inspiration switch that is questionable. But now I am determined to legally bring the kind of excitement Jason Momoa and Liliakoi Moon brought for those few sparkling hours. I'm on a mission!
