I have made the text of the letters available on my website but decided they needed to be set in the context of the campaigns he and his fellow-soldiers from the 53rd (Welsh) Division served in in Gallipoli,Egypt, Sinai and Palestine. For this purpose I drew on official military histories and memoirs and other historical sources.(less)
