Brought up on a steady diet of blood and oatcakes by feral pigeons, I quickly learned to retreat from humanity in to a world of make believe.

I read a lot of books.

I listened to all sorts of music.

I adored films.

Eventually I made it to University and studied film, earning a degree in that subject, and made a BBC Award nominated short film.

I put down the camera and picked up a pen, and began to write short stories.

They sold, which means you can now read them too.

Why horror?

Back in the 1980’s, when I first got into watching horror films and reading horror novels etc., people always asked ‘why do you watch/read that stuff?’
