Tariq preparing duit Raya for his Experimental Scienceclassmates as this week is the last week of class before Eid, Alhamdulillah 😍

You might be a teenager on paper but you are still a younglittle kid at heart 🥰

Note:

Prophet Muhammad SAW said giving gifts would binds hearts.

Giving the duit Raya gifts in Ramadan would be doublyblessed,  inshaAllah!

 

Every Ramadan, I will always remember my dad’s ‘keeping meon my toes question’.

And the question was -

…. ‘Juzuk berapa dah baca Quran sekarang?’ (How manychapters of Quran have you recited up to now?)❤️

He asked this question many many times throughout Ramadan😍

Every single year. Without fail.

Ever since I was small until his very last Ramadan with us -which when I was already over 40 years old!

I guess in his eyes we (me & my siblings) are all stillhis little children even when we have our own little children ourselves 😅

And now I asked Tariq this same question 🥰

Many many times too throughout Ramadan 😅🥰

…… Tariq, Juzuk berapa dah baca Quran sekarang, sayang..?(How many chapters of the Quran have you recited up to now?)❤️

And now I get it why my dad loves to ask us this simple yetimportant question.

Coz every time I asked Tariq, his answer always brings joyand happiness to my heart, Alhamdulillah 🥰

It makes me know that he is on track.

That he is reciting Quran this Ramadan, Alhamdulillah.

That he is following the practises on Rasulullah SAW and hissahabah, InshaAllah.

That he is learning to love the  Quran and InshaAllah Quran loves him too,Aamiin ya Allah.

That he is building his relationship with his Quran,Alhamdulillah.

And that he is preparing for his life in the hereafter,InshaAllah.

Thank you Abah for always keeping me on my toes, for alwayschecking on my Quran recitation during Ramadan.

And now your grandson is benefitting from your questionstoo, InshaAllah😍

May you and mum continue to receive all the good deeds andpractises and beneficial knowledge you both have taught us all.

May we all be together again in His Jannatul Firdaus, Aamiinya Rabb❤️❤️❤️

Missing you both beyond words….

Yesterday, 17th Ramadan 1446H, Tariq turns 14 years old,Alhamdulillah! 😍

And this year Tariq requested for a special Ramadan themedcake.

Coz you said that this Ramadan is super special as it marksthe first year you will be accountable for every of your deeds and actions!

MashaAllah TabarakAllah!😘

Mama doesnt know where the time goes, sayang.

Really.

One moment you are this one block of cheeky little toddler😍

Drolling most of the time.

Loves hiding under tables.

Always giggling happily doing things.

Then Mama blink.

And now you are a teenager! 🤩

Still drolling sometimes. Over food mainly.

Loves hiding behind doors coz lets face it, you cant fitunder tables anymore. 😂

And still always love to crack jokes and laughing away!

MashaAllah TabarakAllah Alhamdulillah!🥰

Thank you Allah for giving us this beautiful rezeki ofTariq.

May Allah keep you under His Watch, Love and Guidance, andbless you with His Abundance, Grace and Kindness, and grant you great Successin this World and the Next❤️

Weeks leading to Ramadan, Tariq was invited to be a guest in a special project called ‘Quran Quest 30 under 30’ by Soul Digest! 🥳

.

The aim of this project is to bring back the spirit and culture of Tadabbur (ie reflecting upon the meaning of the verses in the Quran) in Muslim families all over the world, InshaAllah! 🤩

.

Naturally,  we were so grateful and excited for the opportunity given, Alhamdulillah!! ❤️🥰

.

A few days before Ramadan, the recording took place.

.

So together with me and Teacher Mukaddam (an Australian who is a medical student in USIM), Tariq did a tadabbur session by exploring and contemplating Surah 'Abasa.🥰

.

MashaAllah, we all learn so much by discussing this Surah Abasa which means He Frowned.😍

.

Pointers of Surah:

1. The adab and manners towards someone seeking knowledge and towards others in general. Even frowning upon a blind man is a no-no even though the blind man couldn’t see our frowning face!

2. The reality of Allah’s Creations - the human, the birth, the death, the life, the food, the fruits, the trees, the grains, the animals He created

3. The reality and horror of the Day of Resurrection

.

Allah… so much to reflect upon… 🥺

.

Recording took around 30mins but

sharing just the short version here.

.

.

May our Quran becomes our bestfriend this Ramadan and beyond, Aamiin ya Rabb! 💖

May we continue to read the Quran, contemplate on its meanings and be guided thru it, Aamiin ya Rabb! 💖

May our hearts be transformed with every Quran recitation that we make, Aamiin ya Rabb! 💖

Note: Tariq also did another slot on Surah at-Tariq, Alhamdulillah 🥰

 

Yesterday half an hour before breaking his fast, I reminded Tariq to start making doaa.

.

…Quick sayang.., this is one of the best time to ask Allah coz it is time where Allah promised our prayers and doas are maqbool and He will grant your requests!, I said excitedly 🤩🥰

.

Tariq immediately sat beside me, took a breather and said..,

.

… Mama.., I want to ask Allah that I can eat KFC Fried Chicken as much as I want..!, he said giggling away

.

Adoi… Tariq.. so cheeky 😂

.

Ingat food je!! 🤪

.

… Sayang, you are about to raise your hands in front of the King of the kings, the Owner of all Creations, the Greatest One, the All-Powerful and the One who promised He will grant your wishes..❤️

.

…. and you ask for merely pennies from Him.. come on sayang… try harder…., I answered giggling away too😅

.

…. Ask for something that matches His Greatness sayang.., ask for something for your future.. ask for your hereafter… ask for your present world… ask for something that looks impossible for you to achieve, ask for something that suits His Majesty.., I continued

.

With that, Tariq took a deep breath, close his eyes, raise his hands and submit his doaas and prayers to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, the Mightiest of all, the King of the kings.❤️🌟❤️🌟

.

May Allah grant all your wishes sayang,  🌺

.

May Allah fulfill all your dreams and aspirations, 🌹

.

May Allah grants your doas 🌺

.

And May you always understand that everything is in His Hands🥰

.

Ramadan Mubarak 2023 everyone!

 May this beautiful month allow us to emerge victorious in this world and hereafter, Aamin! ❤

 

Early this year, Allah rezeki kan that I found an online Creative Writing Club for Tariq, Alhamdulillah! 🤩

.

Many weeks later, Tariq said that this is one of his favourite classes, MashaAllah Alhamdulillah!! 🥳💖

.

Taught by a writer herself, the Creative Writing Club members meet weekly and they are guided on how to write short stories from different type of genres every single week such as Historical Fiction, Espionage Fiction, Spy Fiction, Mystery Thrillers, Children Fiction and many more, SubhanAllah! 😍

.

So Tariq’s first genre he wrote on the first week of his Club meet was Historical Fiction.

.

And I was super delighted that Tariq did very well as he blended his knowledge of History and Science with his wild imagination, Alhamdulillah!🥰🥰

.

However, reading one paragraph he wrote (below),  I knew I had a job to do.

.

[Mushtuk became unconscious and when he woke up he saw his body dying with only little water left, recreated it into a new body and with last droplet he sent his soul into the new body, so he was stronger than ever.]

.

… Tariq, can you tell me what is wrong with this paragraph that you wrote..? I asked him

.

Tariq looked at it for 2 seconds and answered..,

.

…. Incarnation and challenging Allah.., Mama…, said Tariq slowly

.

…. Yes, sayang, what you wrote here can lead to Shirk, nauzubillah. I know you have to use your imagination, but whatever imagination you have, it must not go against your belief and creed as a Muslim, understand, sayang..?

.

…. Understand Mama…, said Tariq

.

…. Now correct it sayang. Think as a Muslim and re-write this paragraph.., I said to Tariq

.

And he did! 🥰

.

Well done sayang, MashaAllah Alhamdulillah!! 💖

.

Genre: Historical Fiction

Once upon a time, a tribe ruled over the Turkish lands with their powerful and mighty dragons soaring high over the sky.

.

One day a boy named Karslan and his friend Mushtuk saw a dying star falling down to Earth. To be more precise, towards them.

.

They tried to run to avoid the impact but it was too fast and hit them.

.

When the duo woke up they were astonished. They survived the impact.

.

But just when they thought they were safe, a mysterious creature came out of the dying star. The creature told them “ you only have ten days to find the core and stop the apocalypse from happening “.

.

And with that the alien died. Then they did any normal person would do- cry and scream.

.

When Karslan screamed, fire burst out of his hands. He was surprised and scared, but he knew that it could help people.

.

When his friend Mushtuk cried, fountains and lakes open from his tears so, he knew that he could control water.

.

When they found they had the abilities, they sneakily went back to their tents and told the leader what happened.

.

The leader believed them. At first they were surprised but the leader told them that their ancestors said this day would come.

.

So the leader said the core is actually something called Crisilian located at the Centre of the Earth.

.

They prepared and left the next day.

.

After 2 days, they reached the Centre of the Earth. They found the Crisilian. But they also found out that the Crisilian can enhance their powers.

.

Karslan grew greedy for power and betrayed Mushtuk.

.

Mushtuk became unconscious. And when he woke up he knew his body was weak and dying. And he made a prayer to Allah for strength and Allah accepted it and he became stronger than ever.

.

He chased after Karslan days on end. On the last day he finally saw what could cause the apocalypse.

.

A huge asteroid the size of the sun dive towards them. Then he saw Karslan, he snatched the core and broke it. The crystal inside was the real core . He threw it towards the asteroid and the asteroid flew away.  

.

The end.

Weeks ago, Allah rezekikan that I found a surfing school and asked Tariq if he is interested to explore, Alhamdulillah! 🥰

.

He gave a definite and excited YES so we signed him up.🥳

.

And just within a few classes, Tariq is able to surf standing, moving back and front, left and right, do a yoyo and body roll, MashaAllah! 🤩

.

What rezeki it was for Tariq to learn this new skill.🥰

.

We always thought we had to take a 13-hours flight and travel 11,000 kilometres to Hawaii just for Tariq to experience surfing.🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️

.

Never thought Tariq could experience this just 20 mins away from his grandpa’s house! 🏡

.

SubhanAllah, Allah’s Plan is definitely the Best of Plans, Alhamdulillah!💕

.

As I excitedly watched Tariq acquire new skill, I was more excited thinking about what is happening to his brain and muscles!

.

Basic fact is that the richer the knowledge base we have, the better it will be for us!

.

Coz learning new things literally changes the physical structures of our brain!🧠

.

When we stimulate the neurons in the brain, the brain will form more pathways.

.

The more pathways we have, the better it is for us.

.

As it will enhance our cognitive processes like problem solving and reasoning, InshaAllah!🤩

.

And how do we increase our knowledge base and make it richer?

.

- By reading and by experience!

.

And come to think of it, isn’t that the first word that Allah revealed to our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW 1400 years ago?

.

SubhanAllah Alhamdulillah Allahu Akbar!❣️❣️❣️

As I sat there smiling looking at Tariq standing on the surf board, balancing on fast moving water, falling off the board, pushed by the water, stand up and try again and again and again, I cannot help it but feel very grateful.

.

Grateful for this wonderful rezeki from Allah to Tariq!💖

.

Alhamdulillah ya Rabb as many stars that You have Created for this beautiful gift for us!

Mama’s Boy going into the Forest to gain valuable knowledge

That day on the way to Forest School, I told Tariq that me, my brother and sister are going to visit one of his Atok and Tok Mak’s closest friends - Nenda Chah and Tok Mat 🤩

…. Really Mama? But why…? Are they Okay..?, asked Tariq 

… Oh dont worry, they are well sayang… Alhamdulillah… 🥰

…. We are going to see them coz it is one of our responsibilities…❤️

…. Because Prophet Muhammad  SAW said one of the acts of obedience of a child to their parents after their parent’s death is to maintain the relationship with their parents loved ones.., I explained to Tariq

… Oh… that is so nice Mama.., he answered smiling

…Totally sayang…. 🥰

… and there are many ways to maintain ties too….

…. like visiting them, sending text messages from time to time asking how they are, calling them on their phones or sending them gifts etc etc…, I explained to Tariq

So that day,

As me, my brother and sister waited for Aunty Chah and Uncle Mat to arrive, I told my sister that I felt super happy.🥰

The thought of our parents’ happiness upon receiving expansion of their graves and gifts from us made me cry 😭😭😭

As we sat there at the table in Aunty and Uncle’s famous Puteri Restaurant in Sungai Penchala, I feel like I am with my own parents.😍

We ate, laughed, giggled.

They shared many old memories with us.💕

And they depart lots of wisdom about life too.❤️

Thank you Aunty Chah and Uncle Mat for having us that day.🤗

Thank you for the hugs and love.❤️

Thank you for giving us back some beautiful memories of our parents.

Thank you for all the words of advice!

We love you 3000! ❤️❤️❤️

And to my beloved Tariq.., remember when Mama and Baba are not around anymore..,

Tariq must do your best to stay in touch with Mama and Baba’s loved ones too, okay sayang.., InshaAllah! 🥰

And the Angels will send your good deeds to us and we will be so happy in the grave too, InshaAllah 🥰

And those gifts, sayang…, will be your love letters to Mama and Baba…❤️🥰❤️

Just like the love letters Mama, Abah and Ibu send to Atok and Tok Mak that day…. ❤️🥰❤️

After almost 4 hours of togetherness - so happy and contented Alhamdulillah.🥰🥰

She wrote the lyrics of more than 1000 songs MashaAllah!

As a homeschooler, I scheduled Fridays to be one of Tariq’s rest day.😍

.

So that morning he was enjoying his movie time on Apple TV.

.

As he stretches himself while giggling away, Tariq said…

.

…. Mama, I cannot believe that I have this whole day to just relax and enjoy myself!, he said smiling ear to ear 😂

.

…. Are you enjoying your rest day sayang?

.

…..Yes Mama… I definitely do!  Tariq feel so relax and happy right now, Alhamdulillah..! answered Tariq smiling away🥰

.

…. Well, you know Tariq… That is what akhirat will feel like sayang…

.

….. After working so hard in this world…

.

…. doing things that Allah instructed you like - solat, solat on time, fasting, recite Quran, making lots of zikir and selawat….

.

…. doing things to serve His creations like - take care of your manners, guard your mouth, be kind to others, do charity, help others etc

.

…. doing things for yourself so you become a better and stronger Muslim like - attend classes to gain knowledge, swim, horse riding and Archery etc

.

…. continuously guarding yourself from falling into traps of the devil, its helpers and Dajjal….

.

All those hard work you do every single day - day in day out…

.

Then suddenly, the day Allah takes your soul and not return it to your body, you will find yourself in the dark grave.

.

And inshaAllah you die with Husnul Khatimah a blessed death, your soul who has been working so hard in this world… suddenly is just relaxing in the barzakh grave- no more solat, no more fasting, no need to recite Quran, no need to learn anything, no need to work hard…

.

…. Our souls just will be relaxing sayang…. like today… ❤️

.

Best kan?, I said to Tariq 🤩

…. Best sangat Mama!!, said Tariq😍

.

But this remember Tariq.., relaxation in the hereafter ada syarat…. Provided you spend your time when you are in the world, working hard to earn Allah’s love and pleasure…

.

…. Only then, Hereafter is going to be an awesome resting place for you

…. A happy and relaxing day after spending earlier days working hard…
