Agent Running in the Field by
John le CarréMy rating:
4 of 5 starsExquisite prose. What else do you need? Plot? Get real. The book's got one, but that's not the reason to read it. Also, no gunfire, arrests, violence. Just good old betrayal, both of the professional and personal, centered around an Edward Snowden-ish do-gooder. Le Carre was (alas) an amazing writer. His last book (or close to it).
