Author, Christopher Sturdevant, spent the first six years of his life abroad, first in Taiwan, where he was born, and then in Germany. His Father was serving as a Security Policeman in the United States Air Force. In 1971, the family received orders to Lackland AFB and moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he grew up.

His skills as a writer began to be noticed during his high school years. His sophomore English teacher saw in him the potential to become a talented writer. He started out with short stories and poetry, and dreams of becoming a published author.

Upon graduation from high school, he followed in his Father’s footsteps, entering the Air Force where he trained as a Medical Services Specialist. He was stationed at Wilford Hall Medical C
