Doug and his wife, Amy Hayes, make their home in the Portland, Oregon area where they raised five children and are now thoroughly enjoying four grandchildren.

Doug was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1960, and raised primarily in the Portland area. After graduating from Multnomah School of the Bible (BS in Biblical Studies) in 1985, he’s served as a Pastor to Youth and their families in Olympia, WA; a Pastor of a small church in Auburn, WA; and currently, a co-Pastor in Oregon City, OR.

His first book is Advent & Christmas Family Worship, written as a guide for his parishioners to more fully enter into the joy of these Christian celebrations. In recent years he has been occupied with writing expository Bible curriculum for Sunday School cla
