H. Catherine (Cat) Watling is a writer, researcher and artist whose work is inspired by a love of the past and the spirit of the wild.

She was born and raised in London before leaving the city to live closer to the land, breaking free from the office treadmill to dedicate herself to the creative path.

Her career began with articles in magazines such as 'Prediction' and 'Celtic Connections', writing on subjects such as ancient beliefs, the Welsh bardic tradition and animals in Celtic art. An interest in the universal power of creativity - word, sound and symbol throughout the ages - led her to research the subject for her first book 'The Sacred Word'.
