New Novel: Tea Leaf What Hides Beneath
Hi!
I just put out my first novel, Tea Leaf: What Hides Beneath. It was so exciting just to be able to finish the story and be able to self publish it!
This novel was inspired from a strange dream I had a few years ago. The dream started in the middle of the day and I was working as a scientist for some sort of government program. The people I worked with were not normal. There was something off about them. And they were trapped in our facilities. There was one who was particularly angry about being held captive and I was scared of him. The rest of the group was nice, but they wanted to escape.
As I was leaving for the day, the alarms went off. They escaped their confinement. I was extremely scared because I didn't know what they could do or if they would try to do something to me. Everyone who worked at the facility were running everywhere, scared, and some of the workers were attacked. I hid.
Finally, everyone cleared out of the area. It was so quiet, I thought I could leave. I began to leave and one of the "people" appeared. It wasn't just any of them, it was the angry one. I was terrified. He approached me and the dream ended there.
I woke up breathing heavy but I didn't know what he was going to do. He could have attacked me or could have done something else.
So this strange, but really interesting dream stuck with me. I kept telling myself that I should write about it, but by being in school 24-7 (basically), I didn't have the time. Well, I finally was able to take the concept of the dream and pair it with other things that cross my mind randomly, and some things that I go through in life, and out came Tea Leaf. I kind of feel like the dream was like a prequel for the novel but not really. I was the character Sage.
I hope you enjoy the story. I really had fun writing it. Editing was another story, lol.
