I always lived in small towns. I was born in Bolivar, New York, but have lived in Kalkaska County, Michigan, most of my life. I was once a reporter and editor of the weekly newspaper and spent most of my work life at the local school district. Since retirement, I have worked part-time at the public library. I find joy and inspiration in nature, reading, writing, painting, birding, and spending time with loved ones. The Burden of Sparrows is my first novel.
