The Pope's Assassin - A thriller with a sophisticated historical analysis, that involves the reader from the start. [...] It doesn't recur, positively in my way of thinking, to metaphysics, the supernatural as problem solving, as a quick and convenient shortcut. Rocha acts correctly with the reader that expects a lot from him. [...] The story that unfolds - not so much by imaginative historical hypothesis - is is entirely built with the help of men, their pathos and emotional participation and takes us up to the last pages of the book in a crescendo of events and expectation. Definitely a thriller that engages even the most refined palates and prone to stylistic research. Francesco Di Candia, journalist

Rocha's main asset is that - as any real writer - he never loses sight of the laborious effort of deciphering man. To achieve that he uses suspense but he would achieve the same success with another kind of narrative. George Arion, writer and journalist
