His first children’s book Bali and Blu: Friends of a Different Color addresses issues of bullying and racial issues on a more adult level. Wren the rabbit blinked at the sky.
Whoosh went the wind with a kiss of sun,
Chirp-chirp sang the trees—spring had begun.

But all around, the stillness stayed.
No Pip. No chatter. No games they played.
Wren’s heart drooped like a daisy’s head.
“Where are you, Pip?” she softly said.
