A few years after coming back from living in St Petersburg and after taking a few courses in creative writing, I took the plunge and chose three random words which led me to the story in The Red Notebook. Russia has been my biggest inspiration for this book, and I hope I have managed to encapsulate as authentic a vision as possible in Anastasia's story.(less)
