When I'm not writing, there's nothing I'd rather be doing than watching football, baseball, or hockey, travelling, riding my motorcycle, or going to plays. I hope you enjoy meeting my characters as much as I've enjoyed bringing them to life. ...more

On Vellum

I purchased Vellum a few months ago and used it to format my first poetry collection--Something's Different: A COVID Journal in Verse. “My mom can’t seem to get used to the fact that Estevan is a much safer city than Saskatoon. She’s way too protective of both Courtney and me. She won’t let me have my own cell phone or computer or get a part-time job. And I can only go on MSN for one hour a day. That really sucks.”

“Would I be any good at hockey? I wonder. No. Those bulky hockey pants would be uncomfortable and I’d have to learn new rules. It would be embarrassing to be so far behind the other players.”

“Six weeks later and I’m still the “new girl.” And probably will be until somebody else comes along. I hope it’s soon.”
