Mignon' Talise Padilla was born and raised in Detroit, MI where she currently resides with her husband, Jose and their children Faith, Jordan and Lucas.

She has been writing and sharing her stories since the age of 6. She is known for her cliffhanging endings which always leaves her readers begging for more. The Temptation of Totanca was one of many literary works she began at the age of 14 that focuses on interracial relationships.
