Holiday Giveaway for Wounded Warrior

I should have done this a few weeks ago, but I’ve been slack. I’d like to give a little extra punch to the Wounded Warrior donation I will be making at the end of the year.
Ebates is a shopping site. You sign up (you get a $10 gift certificate, so automatically you win) and when you shop online through the site, you get rebates. Usually 1-3% of what you spend, but sometimes it’s a great deal more. Honestly, I try to do all my online shopping through the site, it earns me almost $500 a year just for stuff I’d buy anyway. Clothes, gifts, travel. I think even certain things on Amazon are eligible now.
There’s also a refer a friend function, and that’s where the charity comes in. If you sign up for Ebates through my referral link, which I have peppered throughout this post, then spend at least $25 through the site, you’ve become a qualified referral and it earns me a bonus. This referral period ends December 31st, and I will donate whatever referral bonuses I receive to Wounded Warrior, along with close to $5000 of funds I’ve already raised through book, T-shirt, and charm sales.
I’ve done this once before with the Shop to Save the Kitties campaign, donating those proceeds to big cat rescue during and after the release of Stars & Stripes. I was able to donate hundreds of dollars of what is basically free money. You can only sign up once with each email address though, so it was a limited thing. But I think enough time has passed, and enough new readers have found me, that this will be effective again.
The possibilities are pretty impressive for this referral period. If we can get this to spread around, it will be an impressive donation.

So, if you intend to do your holiday shopping online, and remember it must be at least $25 to qualify, consider clicking this referral link to contribute to the donation pot.
As an added incentive, after the New Year I will pick three names from the list of people who made qualified purchases, and those three people will each receive a signed paperback copy of Ball & Chain from me in March, as well as e-book copies of my entire backlist.
