Really, really good introductory text on all the world's undeciphered scrips and languages. It is an introduction, but it is probably the best one I have seen to cover them all together in one book. This is extremely well put together and has a nice

This is a good overview of the Aztec empire from Nigel Davies, a British expat gentleman scholar who enjoyed ancient Meso-american cultures apparently. I may have better books on the empire, but it does have some images I've never seen, and actually

Fascinating book on ancient games. I've seen a few ancient african games, and some ancient Egyptian Senat games, but this is a total compendium. The one I am looking forward to reading about is the Roman game called Tau, or "Robbers".Really happy to ...more "

Hey, I was sorry to see you pulled your blog. I'll definitely pick up copies of the hardovers you turned it into in the near future.I finally got around to linking to the twelve or so sites I actually visit with any frequency, but obviously I've been away...I had no idea...shame that the world loses the Ph(aneronoemikon) factor in an easily accessible form...

hey thanks W.
I just need to de-obsess from a few ideas
for personal reasons, and those blogs just sort of reinforce that guy, so I'm just mellowing out a little bit and working and gardening keeping a little journal and trying out maybe some senryu.
i've been reading some senryu that seem good.
3 liners.
i will probably be putting together a big 3-4 volume
lulu book of all of phanero someday maybe soon just for the hell of it. after that, i think i may just do a zine every once in awhile. thanks for thinking of me.
i planted a wysteria today!
thanks for writing!
