BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS

The Chronicles of Caleath... Finally the books are here. Now the series is complete.
I have already sold a set of the eight books in print. So it's been an exciting time. Now to get my act together and share links for other readers eager to hold the paperbacks in their hands.

Seems there is still a call for print books after all.
The books will be available from AMAZON, though at present they are not available on all sites. UK is good, but AU hasn't yet listed them all.Still... FEEDAREAD has the new paperbacks. The MUSEITUP editions are available through AMAZON and BARNES and Noble... also the BOOK DEPOSITORY.Links in the pages on this blog. I am getting there. Four books are listed today. :)For AUSSIE readers the complete series is available from the Author. Signed copies, cost plus postage.Just email me...

Waiting for ADRIFT The Fragile Sun to be finalised.

The final publishing stresses are almost over.We now have Underground in print!Just waiting on the two ADRIFT books to be finalised and the galleys delivered before setting all the new books onto AMAZON and global online bookstores.
It has taken a great deal of effort to try to format each book, choosing fonts, layouts, wording for introductions, oh, and not to forget creating new maps for those ebooks which hadn't yet been blessed with them.Cartography is not an easy skill to learn, nor is going through each novel and placing towns on the new maps.Still, it was worth doing for the series. Now, to hope readers enjoy being able to follow the journey as they read.  Creating covers was another learning curve. It always seems that once you have hit 'SEND' or APPROVE the galley arrives with something you would like to change. Still, they look fantastic and I am so thrilled to have had the images from Rachel Lewis photography to work with. Matt Bryant was a perfect model for my hero. I am so glad Phill has epic skills in computer imagery and my family are always on hand for feedback.
Once I have a number of each book available I will try to organise a short book tour. I think at this stage I can talk about the writing process, the pitfalls and joys of publishing, how to create a fantasy world/series.

Once all books are 'published' I will post links to where they can be found online.Otherwise signed books can be purchased from me, if you can cover postage.
BTW My old website RosalieSkinner.com is no longer online. Please contact me through Lady Rosalie Skinner@ gmail.com (no spaces)

A Sneak look at the cover for Book Eight

Still working on the formatting for publishing, but going with a new look.
It is wonderful to think the series will be complete and 'real' soon.
Wendy Laharnar has worked tirelessly to fix formatting errors and double check margins and remove 'section breaks' etc.
Phill worked his magic to create the cover and enable the continuity with the series.
I am just grateful to those who have waited so long and have been so supportive.
Thank you.

GRASSROOTS WRITING WEEKEND 2019

I have been busy preparing for the Grassroots weekend in May.
It looks like it should be a huge success. Great workshops and a chance to meet and get to know other writers. So many wonderful presenters giving their time and knowledge in a lovely environment.

On the Road to SELF PUBLISHING

It is with great trepidation, excitement and gratitude that I am taking the reins and making the dream of having the series in print a reality.
With the help of Wendy Laharnar I have begun the epic task of making the six books not printed through Museitup Publishing into PRINT ready manuscripts.
Wendy has been tireless, helping ensure half a million words are spaced, formatted, edited, and reader ready.
When my hope was all  but dissolved Wendy kept fanning the dying embers.
Now the flames have returned and I can see a result to all the waiting and hoping.

At present we are still double checking formatting. Getting each book into a template, checking page numbers, headings, margins... all the fun stuff that goes into making a galley error free. *Fingers crossed*

After so many years... it is going to happen. :)
Thanks To Wendy!

Table almost ready for LEVEL UP...

Table setting up begun. Will add books tomorrow.

Little dragon guarding the table.
The event looks like it will be a lot of fun. The excitement is building. I haven't attended a show like this before. My neighbouring author has travelled from Brisbane. So many people with so much creativity and enthusiasm... should be a fun day.

Preparing for LEVEL UP 2016

Coffs Harbour is playing host to the second LEVEL UP event.
Last year 900 people turned up to enjoy this gathering of nerds, geeks and gaming enthusiasts. This year I have been invited to participate, both as a guest on a panel and as a stallholder.I decided to sponsor the gathering, as you do, when you realise there are other like minded people out there, waiting to learn about your books. At least, I hope they are waiting to discover the Chronicles.Anyhow... as a sponsor I was asked to provide a logo. So, here is what I now have created with the help of a talented artist/designer on FIVERR I was hoping to have Book Two, EXILED: Winter's Curse available in print, in time for the event.
Sadly some scheduling mixup has prevented this from happening. Still, I am working on getting a short story available... A free read to whet the appetite and introduce some of the backstory to the Chronicles.
Wish me luck...
Time is ticking away.
Each day introduces new challenges to face and skills to learn.
Bring them on!!!
That is what life is all about, isn't it?
