A long-time resident of Goose Cove in Gloucester, MA, Chester Brigham was for many years a consultant/business writer for major corporations. Over the past ten years he has concentrated on researching and writing about the fishing and artistic heritage of Cape Ann. His first book, The Stream I Go A-Fishing In, told the true story of John J. Watson, a local schooner fisherman who first played fiddle tunes to entertain his shipmates on board, then went on to become a concert violinist, musical impresario in New York City, and composer of popular melodies.
