Sarah McHatton was born in America in the 1980s in one of the poorest area of Tennessee. By the age of nine, she had a passion for the written word that made her crave literature in all forms. When reading was not enough, she began writing by completing a short story and creating free verse poetry. As the years progressed, McHatton continued to increase her knowledge on literature. During high school, she published poetry in the literary magazine. Despite all odds, she graduated with a BA in English where she focused on History, American Minority literature, and Classic Literature in 2014. These voices help shape her views of the world around her.

Poetry, Oh Poetry

I had a goal this year to write at least 2 poems every week. The way I figured it, that would give me 104 poems to put in a book for 2015. It has been 3 full weeks into this goal and I have written 32 poems. This is 8 a week! I am so proud that I am well ahead of my projected goal. I have two book titles picked out for my new poetry. One is called Stolen Moments, and the other is Deep Connections.
