Often found in an elaborate costume, Tal Good is an eccentric busybody who spends much of her time lugging an upright bass around to play at Irish festivals, renaissance fairies, or jazz clubs.

When she gets a quiet moment (generally when she’s home sick) she will become consumed with writing, taking her inspiration from the local lore of where she lives in Massachusetts or places she visits. In a busy household with two littles, four cats, and two hermit crabs, she works on novels to quietly decompress.

I started a goodreads page for shameless book promotion, but now I can't stop rating and reviewing books.

Once you start rating books, you begin to learn a bit about yourself. Like that most books I've read either have to do with faeries or pirates or some amalgamation of the two, and although I should probably branch out more, every time I see a "you may like" and a book about faeries or pirates I Read more of this blog post »

The rhyming story in this book is adorable, but the artwork is stunning. I read this to my kids again, and they really enjoy it. Great book for kids and cat lovers.

I love the writing in this book. The main is a baker, and all of the descriptions were from her point of view so they had to do with baked goods/baking utensils, etc. For example, if she was talking about the size of something, she may compare it to ...more
