Happy August!
I hope you are doing okay as we head out of summer. I'm continuing to work hard and get my writing done. I'm about to hit chapter fifteen of Synnr's Spark and things are getting exciting. :D Okay, they were already exciting, now they're getting exciting...er. I have a date with my editor for the end of the month and the book will be in your hands on September 16th.
Here are some things that have already been referenced in this book: Spiderman, The Terminator, Star Trek, and Lord of the Rings. Zac is a bit of a story magnet and he loves sharing his favorites.
I don't have any more fun transcription errors this week, but I'll be sure to share them if I come across some.
Fun Amazon purchase of the week: wheat gluten!
I learned this was something you can buy when I was researching bread flour. Apparently adding some gluten to regular flour can help develop the protein in dough. Or something. Now my bread is extra gluten-y.
Thanks to everyone who answered the poll about Patreon last week. A couple people had questions about what Patreon is, so I thought I'd answer them here. Patreon is a website that allows me to post stuff for readers who subscribe to receive it. There are different subscription levels which allow you to access different things.
Patrons get access to weekly chapters from older books, exclusive epilogues to my new releases, and to chapters from upcoming books as I'm writing them. There is also a patron tier that gets access to books weeks before they hit the stores. Those patrons are the first to get the finished copies out of anyone.
Basically, Patreon is another way to show your support for me and my writing.
Not your thing? Totally fine! Patreon has not changed my publishing schedule, so if all you want to do is read my books as they come out or grab them when you can at stores or your local library, that is great. I'm just happy you're reading my books. :D
