The 2012 April Write - Day 18

Welcome to Day 18 of the 2012 April Write – the Poets Jubilee Olympiad.

As you know, my inspiration for our daily topics often comes from a variety of sources, including you.

Last night, I was watching a BBC Television drama programme called ‘The Syndicate; about a group of five convenience store workers who are in a lottery syndicate together.

The thoughts and feelings this raised for me whilst watching, is what led me to write my poem.

Some of you may find this too personal a subject and may choose not to share today.

Watch the video to hear it:

Your theme and title for Day 18 is: “When It All Stops…”

The 2012 April Write - Day 15

Welcome to Day 15 of the 2012 April Write – the Poets Jubilee Olympiad.

Once again, today is a VERY special day. It’s our 2nd Free Verse day and it means you are allowed to write a poem on whatever topic you feel you need to explore. Or, you may choose to stick with the same theme that another person has shared for today.

If you have not yet been able to share a poem in our last 14 days, then today is your perfect opportunity. But remember, no erotic poetry today please, because we have Freaky Friday’s reserved for that purpose!

When you next visit the Facebook Group, please click on the Events tab (under the logo at the top of the page) and there you will find quick links to all our previous days and videos in ‘The Month So Far’.

Day 15 of the April Write is a Free Verse Day, with no set topic to hold you back… post on this or any other theme you like.

Watch the video to hear my piece for today.

The 2012 April Write - Day 14

Welcome to Day 14 of the 2012 April Write – the Poets Jubilee Olympiad.

Today’s subject comes courtesy of one of our AWC Ambassadors, Charity Katotobwe.

She asked: “What you think of when you are sat still for a few minutes?”

And that’s exactly what I did in order to create my write for today.

So, I’d like you to find a quiet space (if you can) and write down whatever comes to your mind.

If you watch the video, I will time this for you, followed by my poem.

Your topic and theme for Day 14 is: ” 5 Minutes Alone”

Watch & Enjoy your thoughts unravelling!

The 2012 April Write - Day 13

Welcome to Day 13 of the 2012 April Write – the Poets Jubilee Olympiad.

Today is our 1st Freaky Friday, where we can get a little romantic and lovey-dovey and may even get you a little hot under the collar with some light-hearted erotic fantasy! But no need to cover your ears, as my piece is totally tame and used only to the set the scene because I’ll be leaving YOU to raise the temperature today!

Today requires some order and continuity, so, I’ll be issuing numbers to today’s thread on Facebook. It will be like taking a number to wait your turn to write so we don’t have more than one person continuing from the same place and the storyline then goes all doolally as a result.

You pick your number, by liking it and the 1st to like the number I post (only 1 like per number please), gets that position to continue the story from where the last person left off – in strict number order. Remember that people will be waiting on you to finish, so they can start their write, which can be in any form or writing style – poem, short prose, haiku etc. And remember today should be a slightly erotic/romantic write.

If there are any questions, about how to take part today because it is very different from what I have tried before, I, (and the AWC Ambassadors) will be on hand to assist and guide you.

ADVICE: When writing, keep in mind what has happened previously by a quick listen/read of the story from the beginning, and ending your write with maybe a cliff hanger or a decision or choice to be made.

So, are you ready then?

Watch the video to hear the first part of the story… as this is where the person who likes position #1 will continue the story from.

WATCH & Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8JyzW...

“The Continued Story of… The Seduction Specialist.”

Welcome to Day 11 of the 2012 April Write – the Poets Jubilee Olympiad.

As we enter into our next 5 day Olympic phase # 3 representing Air Skills, we have now completed one third of the April Write and I’d like to continue keeping you on your toes!

However it turns out and what ever you end up writing about…

Day 11 of the April Write is about YOU using YOUR Word Power to create!
