Hello followers! I decided to start a blog separate from my goodreads page. There was too much pressure for me to be writing about things I really wanted to write about on this site. I felt like I couldn't really be myself here and I could only write about my books. I can't tell you how many drafted posts I have kept simply because I felt like they wouldn't be acceptable here. This is one of my more personal rants, you have been warned.

Here's my issue with society. I believe this place we call home has forced us to shut down our passions. It's drilled into our heads this idea that we have to live by specific rules in order to have a happy life. Let me tell you, that is complete bullshit. I cannot tell you how many people look down upon me for the way I live, including people very close to me. There have been numbers of people who have tried to push me down until I was nothing and if I'm being honest a lot of the time they succeed. It happened so much that I never really figure out who I was until recently. I started to show interest in writing and creating worlds of stories. Never has anyone encouraged this dream for me until the past year or two. So I'm here to tell you, reader, that whatever passion you have, go get it. No matter what anyone says, if it's your dream, do it. Work hard for what you want if it's what you love. Consider me your personal cheerleader in the matter. Would you rather live your life wondering what it could have been like if you'd followed your dreams? Or would you rather find out and see?

Since I will be taking a mini vacation from writing the Storm Trilogy in September, I decided I will post the Prologue along with the first two chapters of Fallen Warrior while I'm away. It should be mid- September so be on the look out! Also, I'm not 100% sure when this will happen, but I would like to give out some free advanced PDF's of it maybe toward the end of September. I'm most likely going to do another giveaway closer to the release date which I'm hoping is sometime in November. I won't have the exact date until I finalize the cover art (which by far has been the most difficult part of this book).
For those of you who are really looking forward to the next book, please keep posting about it. I love talking to people about the book and answering questions so please don't be shy! I want to know who your favorite characters are and what you look forward to reading more about! I don't bite, I promise.

I have actual important news readers! Fallen Warrior has been sent for editing! Once I review the editors notes I will be posting the summary for book two. It should be mid-July, keep your fingers crossed! While that's all being done, I'm working on the book cover which is both exciting and frustrating. For now, lovely readers, I can tell you the color for the cover will be...BLUE! I know, I know, not that exciting but it does mean I get to buy pretty blue things now. Perhaps later this summer or even for the Fourth of July I will post more short stories with Kaden and Finley. Stay tuned!

It's been a while since I've written a blog post, it's been a crazy few weeks working on drafts. I've been sitting in front of my computer for almost an hour debating on what I should post about and came up with nothing. Then I began to search devil satire books because my friend and I have been searching for this one book neither of us can remember the name of. Long story short, the strangest things pop up when you google that. I don't recommend it.
Still, I'm sitting here with a lot on my mind. I feel like there's so much going on up there in my brain world yet I sit like a statue at a blank word document. I just want to thank anyone whose rated or written a review for Tormented Soul. I honestly, don't think you understand how much your words impact me to keep going. There are many times when I doubt myself and then I read a comment that reminds me that I'm doing something right. So thank you!
