TOUCHDOWN
Wow, it's been a while since I wrote a blog on Goodreads!
In 5 days my newest book releases. Touchdown is part of Kristen Proby's With Me in Seattle Universe, and I, along with 10 other authors have written sports books based on her novel 'Play With Me'. So you'll see a appearance or two from Will Montgomery and his wife Meg!
Make sure you go and add it to your TBR lists asap Touchdown

The countdown has started!
The countdown to Dazed being released has started. It's release date is set at 28th April and it's currently on pre-order at a special price, this will go up the day of release (as soon as Amazon works to push it back up) If you want to save a few pennies, reserve it now.
I cannot wait for you to meet Laura, Caden and Tarrant. Just to be clear this IS NOT a love triangle, however it does involve the three characters, but the whole book is from Laura's POV (If you finish the book and turn the page you'll get a couple of snippets from another characters POV)
This was originally going to be a YA, but the characters apparently wanted to share a little more than you normally would in a YA, so it became a NA.
I truly hope you give this book a chance and even more so, I hope that, if you do, you enjoy it!

Sunday morning musings.
This morning I woke up and wondered where all my people were at. I mused for a couple of hours and then spoke to one of my closest author friends about reaching out to readers, bloggers, anyone and everyone.
She shared a thought of hers. I have my Goodreads account and I don't blog on it very often.
"Why not?" she asked me.
I shook my head. "I have no idea."
"You may only reach four people, but those four people might be waiting to see what your upcoming release is, what you're working on right now or even that you ate a whole pack of Oreo's last night" (I totally didn't...just FYI)
I thought about what she said and about the fact that I don't share myself (or my crazy mind) with people very much. There's no real reason for my absence of communication except my lack of time. If I could add three (non-working) hours to my day I would... Okay I'll be honest, I would sleep. But if I could add six more (non-working) hours to my day, I would totally use some of that time to interact more, because I want to. I really do!
I published two years ago next month.
TWO YEARS!
That's a fair amount of time and while I have my street team on Facebook (Maria's Misfits) and I post on IG @mariamacdonaldbooks I'm not as active as I probably should be, and I rarely post on my author page or blog here in Goodreads, my newsletter is nowhere near regular and I'm thinking it's time to change all that.
So here's what I propose.
Once a week I am going to write a blog post in here (I'll probably bore you all but you'll have to take your chances) I will update you on anything, could be my upcoming work, could be a excerpt, could be rambling about my home life...If you read it, you'll have to take your chances ;-)
My promise to you though is that you will get something from me once a week, you can choose to start following my story or not. Totally up to you, if I ramble to myself, that's okay :-) I've never had a diary so it will be refreshing to see what all the fuss is about, however, if you do follow me and at some point I start writing the words
'Dear Diary,'
before my post, then please stop me, if that happens I'll need an intervention!
Much love

2016
As 2016 hits us, the reality of organisation also hits us!
I am a well know procrastinator, now i can add totally disorganised author to that list of.....quirks?
Now i have two signings this year, Cardiff in September and Dublin in October, and i am only just starting to get myself together for these signings, which means, i still have a very long way to go!
With family, full time work, writing and everything else that i can't think of right now with my over fried brain...getting ready for book signings is something i hadn't thought too much about. Now January has hit us and it’s been brought right to the front of my mind!
Ahhh! Where is the time machine when you need it?

Back to the cave...
It's been about 6 weeks since I've written anything...this is quite a long time for most authors. I have been so busy and any 'writing time' that I've allowed myself has been to do edits on Love Resisted.
The edits are now almost complete ( I will be finishing up this morning) which now means I need to get back to writing. Book 3 in the Entwined Hearts Series is my next goal. I have no official date for Love Renewed yet, but hope to get it out before the end of the year. I have also been working on another book, which now needs to take a back seat.
I always seem to have a hundred stories in my head at any one time. The problem I have sometimes is my focus can....let's say, escape me ;-)
So here's hoping I stay focused this weekend! <3
