This blog is dedicated to my sister of my heart, Mary Anne Wilson who believed the movie cough among other crazy stunts were necessary to keep talkers away from us. It pays to be devious. Only witches could accomplish it better.

A Hexy Thanksgiving
“I don’t know if six turkeys will be enough for all of us. There will be a total of eleven of us with Maggie, Declan, Courtney, Lili and Jared,” Blair said, surveying the kitchen counters covered with roasting pans, mixing bowls, and various pots and pans on the stove. “Trust me, Jake eats a lot. One turkey alone is like an appetizer for him. He’s been banned from every all you can eat buffets in five counties.”
“Excuse me! Hungry gargoyle here who’s also helping.” Horace held up his free claw...

And Her Little Dog Too!
“What do you think?” Stasi stepped back from the large bay window to better study the display she’d designed for the upcoming holiday. She brushed her hands down her bold turquoise and black skirt that brushed her black high-heeled boots. A softer turquoise cowl neck sweater completed the look. She recently added gold highlights to her brown hair that was pulled back with a black band.
Isn’t It Romantic? was in stylized gold script lettering on the overhanging sign.
Blair also stepped back a...

It's The Great Haunted Pumpkin Hunt, Fluff & Puff
"We're going to find one tonight. I just know it. We're going to find the right pumpkin," Fluff insisted to his partner in bunny slipper crime.
The slippers silently moved through the house, heading for the front door that opened thanks to their magick. They wasted no time sliding down the walkway to the sidewalk. Since it was heading toward midnight, the only ones out were those who preferred darkness for their deeds. Fear wasn't in the slippers' vocabulary, so they quickly moved without any w...

Behind The Book -- The Countess and the Cowboy
Even while writing Under His Spell, I knew that Letitia needed her own book. Someone with the sass, incredible energy and more than a little snark more than deserved it. It didn’t take anything to convince my editor since she agreed Letitia should have her own happy ever after. And what better character to be thrown totally out of her comfort zone than a socialite whose idea of roughing it is staying in a 4 star hotel. From the beginning, Letitia was fun to write. She was funny. She was sassy. S...

Behind the Book -- Under His Spell
Under His Spell was one of my first dips into the paranormal genre and what better way to start.
I was in what I called my crazy mode. Book ideas flowing through my imagination were all woo woo, ghosts, things that go bump in the night, on my! I wrote up the three ideas and sent them to my agent at the time. Her response? “You’re killing me!” This was the late 80s and paranormal wasn’t as strong as it is now. Luckily, my editor loved the ideas and said one especially was perfect for Harlequin Am...

Holiday Hell
Shopping. Many men would rather poke their eyes out with a stick and Nick, Jazz's vampire honey, is no different as you can see.
"Have a wonderful Christmas!" one perky clerk chirped at him as he passed by while her eyes told him she'd love him to unwrap her anytime.
"Only fourteen shopping days left!" Another had to chime in as she presented him with a smile that had way more holiday cheer in it than was necessary.
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
I saw Santa kissing Santa Claus....

Holiday Magick
"It's listing to the right." "It's straight." "You call that straight? I called it old man crooked." Jazz shot Krebs a look that said 'fix it or else!' Her housemate blew out an exasperated breath as he stepped back a few paces and studied the tree. She was right. It was leaning a little too far to the right. "I'll have to secure the damn thing to the wall," he muttered. "You had to have a ten-foot tree, didn't you?" "The room cries o...

“I don’t know if three turkeys will be enough,” Blair said, surveying the kitchen counters covered with roasting pans, mixing bowls, and various pots and pans on the stove. “Trust me, Jake eats a lot. There are all you can eat buffets that won’t let us come back.”
“And you demolishing the desert table doesn’t have something to do with that? The turkeys are twenty-six pounds apiece. We’ll be fine.” Stasi covered the sweet potatoes with marshmallows and popped them into the hot oven so they coul...
