“Today I am a lens, a pen, a gun.”
Caroline Bock, Before My Eyes

“Everybody knows, nobody's talking - from LIE --debut novel coming September 1st from St. Martin's Press”
Caroline Bock

“How do you tell someone like Pete that these kinds of friendships don't last, that they weren't made to last more than the summer even in the best of circumstances, and these certainly haven't been the best. That some friends aren't meant to be, except in stories, or books. You miss a penalty shot and no one wants to talk to you, and maybe you don't want to talk to them either. You want your own oblivion, and they don't understand. You don't answer their texts or even answer the messages of the one or two who venture to call. None of this has much to do with Peter, but you know you won't be friends with him past tomorrow.”
Caroline Bock, Before My Eyes

Hi!! You said to let you know ... new novel - BEFORE MY EYES - coming out in February, 2014!!! More soon!!

message 2: by Shanna (last edited Nov 06, 2011 01:10AM)

Shanna I just want you to know that it has been one or two weeks since I have read Lie, and I can't stop thinking about it.

I have read a lot of forgettable books this year, but Lie isn't one of them. Lie is a book that sneaks up on you. You don't realize the impact it has made until weeks after you've put it down. Young adult novels are sometimes overlooked because adults don't take them seriously. I'm going to make my foster sister read it.

I can't wait until you write something else. Please let me know once you finish a new novel.

Caroline Bock very dark and cool blog. I liked Matched -- and I see you're highlighting the sequel but not nearly as much as other series like Hunger Games!!
