If I find myself staring at a blank screen I simply shut down my laptop and go for a walk or a cycle in the park. It helps clear my mind and get the creative juices flowing again. Another tip is to force yourself to write anything, even if it's absolute nonsense. Let your mind wander wherever it likes as you type. After a while you will begin to focus again - the physical act of typing seems to give you a kickstart!(less)

The idea was to release something Shakespeare related in time for April 2016 which would be the 400th anniversary of his death. It was so much fun digging up little known facts about the great Bard and then writing them up in a lighthearted way.(less)
