Craig M. Froman is a writer, editor, and curriculum developer. He has edited hundreds of books for children and families, and written such books as Passport to the World, Passport to America, Children’s Atlas of God’s World, and the My Story social studies series. His books blend faith and discovery, helping young readers understand the world and their place in it through the lens of God’s purpose and love.

Craig is also the author of An Owl on the Moon, a poetic and deeply personal novel of faith, loss, and hope. He continues to explore the realms of story and spirit through imaginative fiction and reflective writing, weaving light through darkness and meaning through mystery.

The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning
“The deeper we grow in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the poorer we become - the more we realize that everything in life is a gift. The tenor of our lives becomes one of humble and joyful thanksgiving. Awareness of our poverty and ineptitude causes us to rejoice in the gift of being called out of darkness into wondrous light and translated into the kingdom of God's beloved Son.”

“I am a waning bird
encased in a glass sphere;
I cannot see my prison,
and my cries no one can hear.”
Craig Froman, An Owl on the Moon: A Journal From the Edge of Darkness

But how I flew to see the sun; a broken bird am I.”

the bars of my prison this night.
While you drift on currents of seraphim heights,
it is I who deserve to take flight.”
Craig Froman, An Owl on the Moon: A Journal From the Edge of Darkness

“There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.”
