2023 Updates
Hey Goodreads!
I haven’t done any kind of blog post or progress update in forever, and I figured it was time. I’ll try to keep this as short as possible, but it’s been a wild few years!
First of all, a quick author life rundown to explain why I disappear for long stretches of time:
Since I began publishing, I have started college, gotten married, moved states five times, worked myself to madness to buy a house, moved back to my college town, gone back to school, and now I’m in the process of starting accelerated grad school. That’s just scratching the surface, and I don’t see life calming down anytime soon. I try my best to keep up on socials, but sometimes I drop off and so do my announcements.
Which is why I haven’t properly announced ANY of my new titles since the V Duology rerelease! I’m great at this whole marketing thing (I am terrible at marketing, send help). Instead of doing a breakdown of every event I’ve missed talking about, I am just going to run through the highlights:
I’ve released a bunch of books! This includes Vietato (V series alternate timeline novella), PANE (sapphic, cosmic horror novella), the first two books in the Unexpected Series (paranormal romance/ organized crime), and I KNOW YOU’RE STILL IN THERE (a possession novella with a steamy twist). I have also completed my urban fantasy/ romance web serial, Skins & Needles.
I have a website now! It has all my works + where to find them, my editing and design services, and a bunch of character art from my books. You can find it at bailswrites.com !
I have merch! I’m working on adding more, but you can find a good handful of merch and signed books on my Ko-Fi.
In terms of upcoming titles, I have a few things to watch out for. The main one is His Forevermore, the third book in the His Unexpected trilogy. It will be out, along with the trilogy compilation, sometime in the first half of 2024 with a release date coming around New Years. Aside from HF, I am slowly working on revamping the RLN companion novel, Hit, which takes place between the V Duology books. Once the first Unexpected trilogy is complete, I have a thousand projects to choose from, but for now, that’s my primary project.
I am slowly but surely solidifying my writing brand as some weird cross between horror and romance, and I am loving the journey. I appreciate y’all who have been with me for it!
Going forward, I will try to update more than once every several years, but I have given up on trying to predict the future.
Until next time, happy reading!
