Since most of the story is focused on Val, I wanted to bring Veronica closer to the spotlight. I wanted the reader to learn more about Veronica's past, in relation to her parents. I want the Entienne family to have a lot of secrets, and giving Veronica a half sister she didn't knwo about seemed like a great way to touch on the subject of Veronica's life and parents. As the series continues you're going to see how damaged each of these characters are.(less)

I step away from my writing and do something else that's creative, and that generally helps me clear my writer's block. Also, I only sit down to write when I'm "in the moment". If I force myself to write, I'm not going to produce anything worth reading.(less)

Shop Small By Supporting An Indie Author

This Friday is Black Friday: that wonderful day of the year when we break down the doors of local stores in search of sales, and flood Amazon’s site in search of great deals. I once went to Macy’s 24-hour sale during Black Friday, and all I can say is DON’T DO IT!!!! I can’t believe I lived to tell the tale! Madness! Sheer madness! Anyway, this weekend shoppers will be encouraged to shop small. Th

“To do something that you feel in your heart that's great, you need to make a lot of mistakes. Anything that's successful is a series of mistakes.”
Billie Joe Armstrong

Henry David Thoreau
“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away.”
Henry David Thoreau

Margaret Mitchell
“Burdens are for shoulders strong enough to carry them.”
Margaret Mitchell, Gone with the Wind

Pete Wentz
“Girls are like apples...the best ones are at the top of the trees. The boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples that are on the ground that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think there is something wrong with them, when, in reality, they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree...”
Pete Wentz

“Anywhere can be paradise as long as you have the will to live. After all, you are alive, so you will always have the chance to be happy. As long as the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth exist, everything will be all right.”
Yui Ikari
