Sweet Sensation
It was announced yesterday that my short story is a winning entry in the Science Fiction and Medical Humanities short story competition run by Glasgow University.
I am so thrilled!
They had entries from all over the world and my story is to be included in the anthology due to be published by Freight Books in early 2017.
I moved away from the paranormal and tried a detective crime story which is something I may try more of in the future.

The Haunting of Wychwood Teen/Young Adult Mystery Chiller
The Haunting of Wychwood
Answering a cry for help should be simple. It isn't. While attending a half-term outward bound course, Suede Anderson breaks into Thorpe Hall, a remote and abandoned home.
A withered man appears to be the only resident, but is he?
Why does he insist that Suede is the only one who can help him? Befriended by energetic goth-type ZeeZee and hottie, Danny, they are drawn into a chilling mystery that stretches back seventy years. Haunted by nightmares and visions, Suede soon realises that she can't escape. She must face increasing terrors if she is to free them all from the darkness that stalks them. Who are the shadows? What do they want? Suede, ZeeZee and Danny are in a race against time when going home isn't an option.
A spine-chilling and witty supernatural mystery that will give you thrills and chills.

Murder,ghosts and betrayal
I've been so busy writing my new YA ghost story that March and April have been and gone! Did we have good weather? I missed it.
The Haunting of Wychwood centres around Suede, a teen who is dealing with personal loss and withdrawal from the world around her. To please her dad, and as a last ditch attempt to stay connected to the world around her, she agrees to go to an outward bound centre in the Lake District. Things rapidly get out of control and along with ZeeZee and Daniel, she must decide whether to hide or seek out that which torments them.
A mystery is at the heart - a mystery that has remained unsolved for many years.

Excerpts and Random Things
SOUL ENTITY EXCERPT:-
Shaking fingers fumbled with the lock, bolt and chain. A furtive glance over her shoulder confirmed all looked in order. Her fingers wrapped around the handle but hesitation held them there. Pressing the handle down, the door opened with ease.
The drum roll in her chest urged her to flee, but still she held firm. Slowly, she closed the door and released her grip, turning to press her back against the wood. The solid door gave her a sense of security. There was only one sound in the room, the tick-tick-tick of the Judas clock.
