Or perhaps Robert Silverberg's Majipoor... maybe Tolkien's Middle Earth, if I could avoid the orcs, rogue wizards, & the conflicts.(less)

Thanks for your question.
I don't have an official reading list. I prefer to just find something on my library shelves or in my kindle when the mood strikes, and read that, without feeling that I MUST read such-and-such.
I live in Australia, so my summer reading has come & gone.
And, just to complicate things a bit, I'm trying to write the last book in my Red Rowan series, [and not having an easy time of it for some reason] so I've not been reading too much at all, otherwise I find myself becoming too derivative of other authors. Still, I'm hoping to re-read To Kill a Mockingbird sometime soon... hopefully on a nice crisp winter's day with a couple of cats beside me or on my lap, watching the rain sluicing down the windows. I'll certainly be reading something by Neil Gaiman too. Not sure exactly what, yet, as I've got a couple of his books lurking in my kindle, still unread. Same applies to Jack Vance.
I hope this answers your query.
Happy reading... Helen G(less)

Red Rowan 7

Hi All.
I've just finished a book I never expected or intended to write & have hit the "Publish" button.
Red Rowan Book 7: Changes of Fortune, Changes of Heart sort of took me by surprise, but here it is... well, almost. Just as soon as KDP do their thing.
I've finally learned to never say never, but I truly doubt there will be more in this series of nine books.
Thanks for reading this post.

“Tis not only impolite, in fact downright bloody rude, to draw a sabre on innocent folk, but ‘tis also not a very good idea unless you have some idea of what they might be able to do,”

“But only fools are never afraid of anything, Cris. The secret is not to let it overwhelm you to the extent that you’re afraid of being afraid, and you end up doing nothing when you should be doing something. Even if that something might sometimes turn out to be running like hell the other way." - Rowan d'Rhys del'Quist”
