NEW ADULT RELEASE TODAY!!!!

Twenty year old Alex Sinclair comes from an old money Atlanta family. Blue blood practically runs through her veins, but she is a far cry from the typical society debutante. She is more Nephilim than Southern Belle. A brutal attack by a creature who is no longer supposed to walk the Earth leaves Alex nearly dead and bleeding out on a dark street. It brings Chase Vincent into her life who ends up being both her savior and her new partner in The Society. His easy nature, scorching looks, and ethereal sapphire eyes have an immediate enigmatic pull on her. He craves her as much as she craves him, but Alex is determined not to fall for Chase or to allow the swoon-worthy, high-wattage, dimpled grin that has no doubt charmed many before her into his bed to work on her. She knows that getting close to Chase will inevitably result in her losing her heart to him and that cannot happen. The people that Alex love have a nasty habit of ending up dead because of her.

Despite her best efforts she finds herself falling for Chase, which is made all the more frightening by the fact that more of the same creature that attacked Alex exist and are beginning to flock to Atlanta. The prophecy that was foretold at Alex’s birth is about to come to pass. Heaven and Hell are both gearing up for the final fight that will determine who gains dominion over all of humanity and the world it lives in. Alex will be at the center of the war between the Archangels and their Brethren counterparts. The prophecy says she will die before the end of it, but not before making a choice that will tip the scales in favor of one of the sides. From love will come death. It is the part of the prophecy that bothers Alex the most and makes her no longer sure what she fears more—the fallen angels rallying to take over the world, the choice she might make that will end in their success, or the man she has come to love dying because she couldn’t keep her vow not to let him near.

NEW YA RELEASE

Fire And Ash by Nia Davenport

Fire & Ash is out now and available on Amazon. It features fresh new paranormal characters!!!

My name is Ashley Jacobs. I insist on being called Ash instead. I come from a long line of hunters and it is our sworn duty to exterminate the monsters that lurk in the shadows.

Derek Jones is new to Laurel Springs. And I want to stab him with something sharp and jagged even before I find out he is my mortal enemy. I despise him nearly as much as I despise my first name and ironically it has very little to do with him being a Phoenix. He’s an arrogant, smug, infuriating jerk.

So when I am forced to coexist alongside him it takes every ounce of self-restraint that I possess not to stab him in his throat… which would silence his snarky comments quite nicely. I’m not normally so violent, but truly he brings out the worst in me.

What I am Currently Working On.

Chaos has been out for almost a month now! The reviews being received about it are fantastic. I am currently writing the conclusion to the Assassin at Court series. It's working title at the moment is Ascension. In the book we get to see Zander transform from  human to fae, from boy to man and into a true leader. We also get to see Skyler, a much stronger person now than she was when she left Faerie, in all of her kick-ass glory in the realm! I am thoroughly enjoying writing this book. Two of the things that I am loving most are building the romance between Skyler and Zander and developing the colorful characters of the Order's leaders. I think Selene is my favorite out of all of them. She's gorgeous, and fiery, and refuses to take shit from anybody. Lor is an asshole, but he is sooo much fun to write too :)
The second thing I am working on is a brand new series. I have the plot flushed out and the characters developed and it is going to be oooh so good in that steamy, I think I need to take a moment to fan myself sort of way. Below is a preview that includes what will probably end up being the Prologue. Enjoy!
The Society has existed since the first time daemons escaped hell to wreak havoc on Earth nearly a thousand years ago. They escaped hell in hordes and immediately took human hosts to hide their presence on Earth from the Archangels. By cosmic law, Archangels can’t sense daemons and daemons can’t sense Archangels when either is on Earth in human form. When the Archangels finally pulled their heads out of their asses and learned of the daemons’ mass escape, they marched to Earth in a gloriously righteous, lethal battalion.
However, daemons are as cunning as they are smart and by the time the Archangels reached Earth, they’d all taken human hosts. The Archangels did what damage control they could. They located and permanently sealed the gateway the daemons were using then they laid with mortals to create Nephilim— the offspring of Archangels and men. The Archangels themselves cannot sense daemons in human form, but cosmic law says nothing about their half-mortal offspring. Once they populated the world with Nephilim, the Archangels created the Society of Nephilim and left them with a simple task— track down and exterminate all of the daemons that escaped hell and walk the Earth. There were two ways the Nephilim could fulfill their task. The easiest way, the way in which most Society members exterminate a daemon, is to pierce the heart of the human host it possesses with silver, effectively exorcising the daemon from the human and sending it back to hell where it belongs. Fortunately, this does not necessarily result in the human host’s death. The Nephilim, like the Archangels, have the power to heal that which is injured. The second, more cumbersome way to exterminate a daemon is to cast a circle and trap the daemon within it. If daemons are beheaded with a silver blade tempered in Nephilim blood while in their natural form, it does much more than send them back to hell. It permanently eviscerates them from existence.
Though they inherited all of the strength and most of the powers of the Archangels, Nephilim are limited to a mortal lifespan. Therefore, when the first generation of Nephilim died off, their children took up the mantle and continued the mission of the Society. It has continued to be this way for almost a thousand years. Many daemons escaped, many daemons have been sent back or killed, but far too many still walk the Earth.

Exciting News: Cover redesigns for the Assassin at Court Novels!!!!!

In my last post I talked about why I had not posted in awhile and all of the things I have been working on to get ready for the release of Chaos. In this post I will share one of those very, very exciting things. First, I have been working with an amazing graphic design artist based in France to redesign the covers for Two-Faced and Chaos. The original covers were ones I did myself using free stock photos and PowerPoint. Many of you expressed that you liked the covers, saying they were simple yet elegant. I thought so too. However, I also felt that they could be better. I really wanted covers that captured the essence of the books and communicated it to my readers. Thanks to my wonderfully talented graphic design artist, I have them. Here are the new covers for Two-Faced and Chaos.

I wanted the cover for Two-Faced to reflect the softer side of Skyler. From the beginning of the book we are introduced to her as a lethal assassin, but that is not all that she is. Yes, she is a trained killer and can seem rough around the edges at times, but she is also a girl who enjoys girly things like pretty dresses. The blade in her hand symbolizes that we should never judge the book that is Skyler by her cover. She is a multi-faceted character that wears many masks, depending on the nature of the situation she finds herself in.She is a teenager and a girl, but she is not merely a pretty, young face. Underestimate her, discount her, and it will be the last unfortunate mistake you ever make. You will quickly find herself on the sharp end of the blade she is holding on the cover. I wanted the cover for Chaos to reflect the more "bad-ass" side of Skyler. Without giving away too many details of the 2nd book, in its initial chapters we see that Skyler was not always the hardcore assassin we saw her to be in Two-Faced. She was once broken, vulnerable, and wholly unable to defend herself or those she loved. The strong, independent, "bad-ass" Skyler we saw in Two-Faced was something she had to learn to be. It is the result of a set of circumstances that were thrust upon her in which she had no choice but to accept. She hated having to accept them, but she came out of her trials all the more stronger for it. I do not want to say what those circumstances are because it will spoil Chaos for you.
