Between 1987 and 1990, Mike Maginot was a regular contributor to American Cinematographer Magazine. In his column, "Videogram", he reviewed current home video releases. Maginot has written for radio, television, and the theater. His first book, "Auteurs, Adaptions, and Outsiders" is a diverse collection of essays about movies and the moviegoing experience. His second book, "Belvedere Street" is a memoir about growing up in Oakland, California in the 1960s under difficult circumstances. Maginot is also a photographer and videographer. ...more
