Unless you're under a time restraint, sometimes letting it sit on your heart for a minute will help. If I'm under a time restraint than I re-read the entire work. Many times I am inspired very quickly and get right back to work, other times I read the entire work to the point where I left off, and find I'm ready to continue again. The key here is that every writer is different. So, if what you're doing to fight writer's block isn't working, try something different. But by all means, don't be cruel to yourself or assume failure. Take your time. If you love your book, you'll have fun, and it will write itself.(less)
