All of my life I've wanted to be a writer. And it's something I've done in secret - scrawling in notebooks and on pieces of paper - writing down my thoughts, my distress and my hopes and dreams.
I love thinking about what would happen if... then I mix different people's lives up in my head and try to figure out how they'd work together to find their happiness.
I suppose at heart, I'm a hopeless romantic. But in saying that, I'm a closet romantic. And it's been really hard for me to start sharing my stories with the world. I've never let anyone read anything I've written before. So before Stepsister Devotion went out into the world, the only people who had read it were myself and my editor.
To say I was nervous as f*ck would be an understatement. But now that the series is complete and I've received more positive feedback than I could have ever imagined, I'm feeling really positive about sharing more of my stories with you all and I'm learning more and more about the industry everyday and have found some wonderful help via some gracious bloggers who have been taking the time to read, review and promote my series for me.
I've also learned that it's best to keep a blog, which is something I've never done before. I've been looking at other author blogs and the topic range is quite extensive. So I figure this might be a good way to share a little about myself with you all by talking about the writing process and how it all works in my world. It could be fun or it could be super boring.
But, either way, this is happening. From now on, I'm adding blogging to my list of things to do. So feel free to follow along and find out what's happening with me.
In my next post I'll be talking about what I discovered when Facebook blocked one of my ads, and I'll announce the title of my next series which will begin releasing in May.
