Charmed – a Childhood Memoir

This memoir covers my childhood in Argentina where I lived from babyhood to 12 yrs of age. I’m now working on the second part from school days in Bath, life in London where I worked for a company of fruit importers in the old Convent Garden near to St. Paul’s Cathedral and later, my travels to Portugal where I lived with two families helping the children to speak in English! Then to Spain where I met a toreador but I refused to watch a bullfight…

Spring on the way

Snowdrops coming through the moss, twigs, ivy and a strange looking log. Using your imagination can you see a small creature peeping out?

World War 1

Dad was in the First World War Flying and photographing enemy lines. He was in The Royal Flying Corp which later became the Royal Airforce. His story is in Cry for me Argentina (see my books). Doesn’t he look cute? He always had curly hair and I remember him plastering it down with oil and other concoctions. He was very special. He could even do conjuring tricks! My Memoir called CHARMED will, hopefully, be published in 2018.  The centenary day is tomorrow, 11th November 2018.

The Garden in Mid-October

White and pink roses still surviving the winds…

Lily & Rose

Is that an ant on the wax-like petal? It must be a fly…

Apricot beauty – diseased leaf & dry, dry soil. What a summer in our normally green and pleasant land…

Harvest

Salad without tomatoes everyday. Waiting for toms to turn red!

Green peppers are ready! Some in the freezer and some decorate my evening meal. Chicken cooked slowly with garlic and sliced peppers – yummy!
