Trent: Across the Aisle

One more year and a hefty tuition bill had me rethinking my no sex rule with clients. One exception to this rule with one client
that changed my entire life.
He was rude, opinionated, prejudiced and downright ignorant. For him to have an affinity for a certain type of woman, he surely didn’t know how to talk to them. He knew how to have them screaming his name.
Outside of this, my one wish was that he would STFU.
We had five nights only and I was counting down to the hour until I wasn’t.
Five turned into fifty. Hookups turned into sleepovers. A client turned into a significant other.

For goodness sakes, he was a damned Republican!

2017 Update
I knew 2017 would be the year of collaborations but I didn't know it would be mostly collaborations. LOL
I have a few books coming down the pike and more projects. I'll even have my own project, which I'm excited about because it's a new venture. :-)

2017 News
Hey, it's Xyla and it looks like it's been an entire year since I've posted a blog. There are so many updates and I'm not sure where to begin so I'll start with the highlights.
For all those wanting to hear Apollo's story in the Legion of Guardians Series. It's out!
It's hot and Apollo is now my new book boyfriend (seriously). Lori gives the man a run for his money but you know those Guardians. They are bossy, sexy and alpas!

New Series/New Year - #BikerLife
Xyla World!
I was always a reader. I had the entire babysitter's book collection and made my mom sign the sample invoices they provided in the kit when I watched my brothers. R.L. Stine was my other favorite, which is odd because you cannot even pay me to watch a scary movie these days. Anyway, I started listening to romance audiobooks a few years ago, when my travel time increased. Then I was turned on to iBooks where I was introduced to the Motorcycle Club (MC) World. I absolutely fell in love with bikers and their sassy women. Also, I was a huge fan of Sons of Anarchy, the parts I could handle since I'm more of a happy ending type of gal. LOL
When I started my transition to writing, it was based on many factors. I was at a place of frustration and decided to write or cry. I chose to write and days later, I had a full-length novel. This accomplishment opened the floodgates because I chose to write more and more. First about people like me, then about people not like me. That transitioned to subjects I knew first hand to subjects I wanted to know more about. Which led me to the characters I've most enjoyed. Hence, my next new series.
I am EXTREMELY excited about this series because, in essence, I've created a small organization with a mission statement, a creed, and characters to last for ten books and more. When I say, I LOVE MC's - I do. So...

The Chase II Readers
Hello All,
For my Chase II readers. I uploaded the wrong pre-order file, so if you pre-ordered it or purchased it on the 30th when it was first released, you are going to need to get the most updated version. To do this, you'll need to contact Amazon for them to release it to you. I have already contacted them several times, so they can push the update through. I will keep asking them this, so it's more convenient than having you contact them.
I truly am sorry about the inconvenience. This is the worst experience to date with this service, but I'm really hoping it gets rectified and soon!

4 Months In
Hey Everybody,
So, it has been 4 months since I released my first novel, The Chase, Double XX Series (April 13th). This has been the craziest ride. Good and bad things have happened. People have come and gone. There have been good and bad reviews. And as of today, 4 books have been released. All four books remain as AAE bestsellers list and BOMBSHELL is still on the multicultural list!

Keep Moving
Hey Guys,
Well, it has been a total of 18 days since I released my very first romance novel The Chase, Double XX Series. I am shocked and pleased with the progress. So, now we are moving on to my next novel that will be released on May 27th. The College President!
This book is about an adjunct professor the The new President of the College. He plans to fire all the adjuncts, but sassy Imara Winters does not go down without a fight. The Alpha man that he is will not let her take it there anyway. This interesting dynamic will cause lots of emotion within them, but also steamy moments of romance!
It's going to be good!
