Looking for a Hot Protector?

Looking for a hot protector?

Hello beautiful friends,

How amazing would it be to have a hot protector to look after you and shield you from all harm, right? I could do with one right now, but life has other plans. The thing is, as you grow and develop, you learn to be your own hero. I certainly had to. And there is always another layer to uncover.

My youngest child has had a breakdown because of being too stressed from school. I am NOT one of those parents who put pressure on their children about grades. In Germany, the education system has so many different options, there are so many ways of learning a trade or studying for a profession that don't necessarily involve 13 years of "normal" school. And to be frank, nothing is more important than your physical and mental health. But my little one wouldn't listen.

He is, for now, at a psychiatric clinic for children and teens. At weekends he is now allowed to visit home and they have just started to send him back to school daytime to see how he copes with that. One step at a time. And instead of being able to enjoy the weekend with him and doing some fun activities in the sunshine, I am in bed, with a bad head cold, Friday night, my stomach emptied several times. Not that I'm in any danger losing too much weight. If you follow me on social media or look at the header picture of my website, it'll be obvious to you that I have some reserves.

I've not been so sick in a long time, though. I pay attention to eat a lot of veggies and fruits, take vitamin supplements, and generally make sure that I eat and drink more healthy than unhealthy things. But when you've been challenged emotionally and had to run around every day of the week to visit, talk to people, make appointments, see counsellors, therapists and doctors, etc., not allowing yourself enough time to really sit with and work through your own feelings because you just can't, you have to function, your body will take the toll and so my immune system broke down.

I'm not prone to tummy bugs, so me getting this particular ailment tells me more than anything else, "You have to get rid off that shit!" So my body is now forcing me to expel, to purge, to sweat out, to work through and let go. And I am doing the self-work, the meditation, the sleeping, the sweating and the facing of my emotions. At the same time, there is still a part of me that wants to be that person who has someone there to protect her and make it all go away. And yes, I also pray, trusting that there is a higher plan I cannot yet see the endgame of at play. This is going to be a blessing for my child and for me in the long run.

As much as we wish to protect our children from all harm, we also have to acknowledge and accept that they are their own sovereign beings with their own unique soul path. And when your child has a dark night of the soul, much growth can come from that. And as a loving parent, I do as much as I can to support Tyler in this now, show him how much I love him, speak about things, see where I can help, where I need to step back.

But just to keep my equilibrium, I've got a promotion with free books for hot protectors, something I just love to wish for myself in the spaces between having to be my own hero. I hope you'll enjoy these books as much as I will in these turbulent times.

Hot Protectors

Hot Protectors for You!

And as I've heard from quite a few people that 2025 has started in a rather challenging, tumultuous manner, just as the astrologers predicted, I thought you might just like to dream with me about those hot, strong protectors that allow you to take a deep breath and feel like everything will be alright again. Of course, they're free, too!

Much love,

Tirza xxx

Spring is Coming! - Snow Drops & a Pussy

Happy Valentine's Day! With love, Tirza xxx

Hello beautiful friends,

I am super happy to tell you that spring is coming here in my part of the world, namely, Bergisch Gladbach (don't try to pronounce that, haha!), near Cologne (Köln) in Germany. My aunt who lives on the top floor in our house is on holiday and as she is the garden fairy, she asked me to take pictures of the blooming flowers while she is gone. So I thought I'd make a little video. It's uploaded to my spiritual channel on YouTube. You can watch it here - with a good shot of my pussy.

LOL, I mean our beloved cat Taani, of course. She doesn't like to go outside when it's cold, but now that the sun is coming out more often, she really gets those spring feelings. As do I.

I love seeing nature bloom and awaken, birds chirping, flirting, it's almost time to build nests. And the first blooms we have in the garden are snow drops and crocuses. They are so very beautiful, and I sit outside often, dreaming of a handsome stranger handing my leading lady a bunch of snowdrops that he's gathered himself to show her how much he appreciates her. (Sigh!)

It's time for us to take romance outside, go for walks with our partner(s) and make out leaning against a tree. When I sit on my patio overlooking the garden and thinking of my MCs in Fromance, the one very young set of main characters who are at college in Hawaii, I picture Charlie with a lei flower in her hair, dancing the traditional hula and channelling the Goddess Laka to make her dance perfect. Meanwhile, Train and Waltz have much more mundane thoughts in their heads as they watch the girl they love dance like a Goddess. But they also love to sit on the beach with a small fire going and listening to Charlie tell them about the mythology of the islands, everything new she learned and found out. They love her passion, her intellect and her big heart.

And you can download their book, the short edition, for free, together with so many other sexy, steamy books by some great authors, for free in this new March promo below...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! With love, Tirza xxx

Hello beautiful friends,

Happy Valentine to you! I'm hoping you've got something nice planned for today, regardless of whether you have a partner or not. Valentine is all about celebrating love and romance, and you can do it together, of course, but you can also - and that is most important as an act of self-love and self-care - do it with and for yourself. Combining both is, of course, another option. And it certainly doesn't have to be confined to a single day of the year, right?

So here is a little inspiration of what you can do for yourself to feel special and romantic all on your own:

Have a romantic bath. You can add ingredients, such as...

Epsom salt, which is great to get rid of stressful and negative energies that often accumulate in daily life.

Fresh or dried rose petals and/or rose essential oil. If you don't want to pick out the petals individually from the water after your bath, you can always stick them into a tea bag. Those that you can fill yourself are available in major online stores.

Milk or cream. Yes, they leave a bit of a film, but especially if you have dry skin like my middle daughter, cream works wonders for a smooth skin.

Honey. Another good one. It dissolves in warm water and is a natural agent to soothe inflamed skin, also good for many types of dermatitis. My youngest has sensitive skin like that and we try to find natural solutions for her skin as much as possible.

On top of that, make sure you set the stage. Take a little time to select romantic music you love. Make a playlist. Place candles and roses or other flowers around the bathroom. You can also strew some petals on surfaces and anoint candles with rose essential oil. Alternatively, add some of that oil to your diffuser, so the bathroom air takes on that lovely scent. (As always, make sure that electrical devices are well insulated from any sources of water! You don't want to electrocute yourself!!!)

When you come out of the bath, work some special body lotion into your skin. If you add a drop of essential oil that is safe to use on skin like that, you'll have that special luxurious feeling. Take your time to feel your body, commune with it, treat is with love, make everything sensual.

Woman having a sensual, romantic bath with wine and candles

Have a candlelight dinner. Whether with your partner or on your own, make it special. If you don't go out, cook a special meal that has some "love ingredients." Depending on your dietary habits, these can look different, so take a little time to search online for foods, spices and herbs that can spice up a meal in the romantic sense and fuel passion and love.

As you prepare the meal, think loving thoughts, think about how much love energy this meal is going to nourish your body with, how healthy it is, send love to it from your heart and mind, and know that you will consume this love as you eat the food, making it part of your being (and that of your partner if it's not just for you).

Play romantic music as you sit down to eat, be present with the food. We tend to watch TV or have our minds occupied in a different way during meals very often. But try to really sit with the food, taste it, be mindful of every bite and receive it into your body with the love you prepared it with. Be grateful and thank yourself for taking such good care of you.

After the meal, if you're not too full, you might want to dance, make some sexy moves, revel in the sensual, passionate feel of your body, your mind and your heart. And then you can take out those toys, light some candles in the bedroom and take it to the sheets.

Take it slow, caress yourself. The average person has approximately 7 square meters of skin. It's our biggest sensitive organ and we so often forget about that. Take your time to connect with your body, explore it, starting by using your fingers, feathers, pearls, etc, and observe the sensations. Which ones do you like best? Which parts of your skin/body are more sensitive than others? Do you prefer a lighter or firmer touch? Do you like to go all in from the start, or begin gentle and rev it up as you go along?

Do you like to listen to music or have it quiet? What about listening to your favourite scenes from a romantic audiobook? Some women prefer running slideshows of aesthetically pleasing, romantic pictures, some like portraits or upper body shots of their favourite male models, celebrities, etc. Others like pics or videos of couples, romantic, passionate, kinky...

What works best for you? Don't judge yourself. If you like pictures of men dominating a woman, even if, perhaps, you wouldn't want to act that out in real life, if that's what turns you on to see, make a playlist of those for a slideshow. It's your mind, your fantasy, your heart, your body, your pleasure!

What turns you on?Free Romance Books for Valentine

Naturally, I have an extra special Valentine's collection of free books for you today, because reading romance is one of our passions, right? So this one is all about badboys, love, passion, amped up! Check out Bad Boy, Hot Nights by clicking on the picture below!

So much love,

Congratulations to Kim!

Hello my beautiful souls!

I am so super proud of Kim Eisman, my dear friend, the Tarot reader I go to when I need someone else to read for me (because sometimes we're just blocked when it concerns our own issues, especially when there are a lot of emotions involved) whom I initiated into the 3rd degree, Master Teacher in Usui Reiki on the 22nd of November. 22 & 11 are both master numbers, so it was a very auspicious date, even though neither one of us thought about it when we moved the appointment to that day, as Kim was sick on the date we had first scheduled. Everything happens for a reason, right?

I had prepared my altar with many elaborate decorations, candles, crystals, etc. You know me, I love to create elaborate altars for special rituals and occasions. It helps me focus and get into the zone. Is it necessary in general? Totally not. Reiki Grandmaster William Lee Rand was initiated on the side of the road and quite literally left in the dust if I remember the story correctly. He didn't know anything about Reiki or how to cope with whatever happened after his initiation. The person gave him the master degree right away. Yes, you can do that, too. But that can be strenuous on the system, so the better (in my opinion) and gentler method is to do the first and second degree, get used to the energies, the practice and all that comes with it, then do the Advanced and Master/Teacher later.

Kim was an experienced Usui Reiki Level II Practitioner for many years. She is highly intuitive and educated in many esoteric and occult subjects. And because she is kind and helpful, I was thrilled when she agreed to be my guinea pig for giving the Master/Teacher initiation online. In fact, I've never really taught before and only given a couple of friends years ago the Level II initiation. They wanted an alternative healing skill to use on their young children, alongside any medical care the children might need.

So on Friday, we had our initiation and the energy we both felt before, during and afterwards was really powerful! This is what Kim posted on that very day:

"I am so full of love and gratitude today. I am so excited to share that, thanks to my dear friend, Tirza Schaefer, I am now a Reiki Master. I am still buzzing from the energy! It was such a beautiful and profound experience, and I can’t wait to share this next level of healing with my family, friends, and clients. Tirza, thank you so much for your wisdom, insight, love, and support. I am forever grateful to you, my friend. To anybody ready to add Reiki training to their journey, I highly recommend Tirza as your guide. Receiving this final attunement from such a pure, loving soul has been a true gift. Thank you!"

Below is the picture of her certificate and I love how happy and proud she is of now being a Reiki Master and able to go on to teach her own students and keep healing so many people.

You can find Kim on Facebook and Instagram.

Kim Eisman in Action!

Kim's Usui Reiki Master/Teacher CertificateMy Reiki Journey

It was 2004 when you middle child, my daughter Tarjani was about a year old that I got my Usui Reiki Master degree. I didn't practice much for many years, though, because when I used it on my then small children, my mum-ego got totally in the way. Being worried about a sick child and trying to force the healing energy down your arms and through your hands into them is not very successful. It is much better to be in the zone and have some emotional distance. I wasn't capable of that at the time.

As I didn't get much opportunity to practice my skills back then, apart from an occasional healing on a friend, I very much neglected it until I found more spiritual friends who also loved Reiki. We exchanged, sent healing when someone was sick, and in general talked about it a lot, which motivated me to pick it up again.

I decided to do a refresher course with a dear friend, Leila Hardy, whose aim was for her students to make Reiki their own. And that's what I did. I connected to this beautiful healing energy on a much deeper level and even started to develop my own healing modality from there, which isn't quite finished yet, so I do not yet teach it. However, I use it myself alongside Usui Reiki when giving healings and the feedback has been positive throughout.

In spring next year, I will begin to teach online courses, as well as in-person ones in German. Watch out for special Christmas offers coming in December because I most likely will not offer separate Tarot readings and Reiki sessions anymore, but rather combine them with my own personal brand of Goddess Magick in a package that I personally find makes more sense and has a deeper, longer-lasting effect. After that, simple Tarot or Reiki sessions will only be offered to return customers.

Please note that I do not give Reiki healings in person for the simple reason that it can involve bending, squatting and kneeling, which is painful to me because of my injured knee and back. So unless you're willing to receive with me sitting facing you, as I would do online, I recommend you seek out an alternative practitioner.

I will also be starting a women's spiritual group and give Goddess courses and other events. For this purpose, a new friend has agreed to join forces with me. We will do it together. More on that later, though. But that is also the reason why I have decided to make it all official by calling it now a Center, rather than just going by my own name, Tirza Schaefer, alone. I will keep you posted on all the details, of course, and we'll likely have a separate section in German on my website for that.

I'll keep you posted here, in my Facebook group Tirza's Goddesses and on my YouTube channel.

Anyway, you can read more details about Reiki on my website where you can also book sessions by clicking on the picture below:

Why I Didn't Go to a Hopping Hippos Concert

Hello my beautiful souls!

For my birthday, I asked my children to go to a concert. Not The Hopping Hippos, though. For those of you who don't follow my romance author account, The Hopping Hippos are a fictional rockband in a why choose romance book. Part 1 was published last year and on my birthday, 9 days ago, I published a second part, a free download for my newsletter subscribers. So yeah, they are fictional characters who don't exist in real life. And, therefore, I can't go to their concerts (not in real life, anyway, lol).

So instead, I opted for the band Smash into Pieces after checking if they'd come to Cologne (Köln). They did. But by the time my son booked, Cologne was sold out and he got tickets for Frankfurt (2 hours' drive) instead. We were going to eat Italian pizza first and then go to the concert. As we were late arriving because the navigator sent us on the long route (the shorter one was apparently blocked or had traffic jam), we decided to buy a takeaway at a Pizza Hut we saw in passing and eat a bit in the car before going to the concert venue.

Now I had made a few false assumptions about the whole event which had bearings on me that evening. First of all, I thought, from seeing posts of Smash into Pieces on social media, that they were much more successful already and expected to find myself in a large arena where I could go sit on the sides because of my physical chronic injuries, I can't stand for hours anymore. My feet, knee and back will start being in pain quite quickly. But it was a club venue without seats, so even though I was wearing my back support belt, I was already in slight pain from the bumps on the road driving down to Frankfurt. It wasn't that bad, however, so I thought if I could sit watching the concert, I'd be alright with taking some painkillers once I got home again and went to sleep with a hot water bottle in my back.

There were no seats! And there were two other bands playing for quite a long time before Smash into Pieces even started. So my son Tajun and I went to the back of the room and I sat down on the surprisingly clean, but very cold floor. The first two bands were great, I just hadn't expected them. The last time I had been to modern music concerts larger than in pubs and similarly small places, was in my teens. Aha, The Cure, Duran Duran and Lenny Kravitz. You can tell, I am completely out of the loop with all of that, haha!

If I'd known there would be two bands before and nowhere to sit, I'd not have gone. I am so glad I didn't know, though. As I was sitting there, enjoying the music, I thought how peaceful the vibe of the audience was. Completely chilled. There wasn't anyone who felt like they needed to prove anything to themselves or put on an act, let alone anyone feeling hostile. And I loved it. Even the security at the door had the warmest, friendliest and most welcoming smiles. I had been a little bit worried about maybe feeling a little claustrophobic in a crowd. I've been avoiding dense crowds post-burnout, so feeling at peace had thus far been in a controlled environment for me.

While I felt a stabbing pain in my hips, I opted to close my eyes and breathe through it, and that's when it happened. I immediately sank down into a meditative state and was surrounded by golden light. The pain disappeared (for the duration of the experience and was a lot better afterwards) and Stag appeared in my inner vision. He stood proud and strong, just like last time when I wrote about him, only, we weren't in a forest setting. He didn't physically smile, but I felt him smile. And then he said, "You are a lot stronger already than you ever thought. Don't be afraid. You are here to see just that, no more fear, no more anxiety around people. You don't need to protect yourself any longer by avoidance. You're back in life now!"

And then I was back at the concert, Smash into Pieces came on stage and I got up and danced (as much as I can, which is swinging from one leg to the other and moving my hips mainly, as I can't do jumps and shaking my body more wildly anymore). It felt great. I was in the zone, I was happy, elated, shouting and applauding at the end of a song, becoming one with the music... I think, you can tell from the pictures I took with my son, how aglow with joy I was, how alive I felt. - And how strong inside.

(And yes, before you ask, yes, my son is very much taken. And I love his girlfriend very much, too!)

At the Smash into Pieces concert with my son Tajun

At the Smash into Pieces concert with my son Tajun

So would I do that again? No. I had to take opiates afterwards at home because of the pain I was in when I got home and I hate the feeling I get, having a clouded mind and headache from the dehydrating effect, so I only take it when I absolutely have to.

Do I regret going? Absolutely not! It was so worth it! I had so much fun and wonderful conversations with my son, I got to see how strong I have become again, how resilient and at peace even amidst a large crowd and having to squeeze through the throng at times, and I had not the slightest bit of a remnant of anxiety/panic burnout symptoms anymore. That, more than anything else, showed me not only how far I've come in my healing process but also, how well my dedication to selfcare and working on myself with different techniques has paid off. Patience was never my strong suit, but I had to learn it to find inner peace eventually.

And when Stag appeared to me in the middle of a loud concert with a lightshow that could have unalived a person suffering from epilepsy, amidst a large crowd of people and confirmed to me that I had embodied his energy fully, hell yeah, I was so damn proud of myself! And for all of you who suffer from some form of anxiety or similar conditions, I hope this can be an inspiration to you to know that you can find peace and mental stability again, even if it takes a couple of years or more. Yes, you have to do the work consistently, but it pays off in the end, and you come out a lot happier and much less trigger-happy at the other end.

I have started to compile a library of past free events I've hosted, including those that I had pre-burnout in my old spiritual Facebook group of almost 3K members which I closed when I fell ill and my co-admins couldn't support me any longer for various (very valid reasons). I had these live events recorded on my old YouTube channel which I had to discontinue for technical reasons, so I am slowly transferring and rearranging everything, creating a library on my website that you can visit and browse.

It's my birthday week and I have a special gift for YOU!

Hello my beautiful souls!

On Sunday is my birthday. 53 years I've circled the Sun in this body now and it's been quite a ride so far. Doesn't look like it's going to ease up anytime soon. But mostly, I'm loving it! Some of those tower moments can be rather challenging, but it's all good in the larger scheme of things. Where would we be if we didn't have to face any challenges in life? That's the stuff that makes you grow, after all. And once you're through them, the sense of achievement is real, right?

But as my birthday is approaching, I am counting my blessings. I've received some unexpected news and I've been able to book a course that I wanted to do but lacked the funds for because it was put on sale just at the right moment. And then, the special offer price was supposed to have finished but hadn't been changed yet, so I was able to book. How cool is that! I really love my live. It's becoming better and better with each year that passes. So no, I'm definitely not scared of getting old. I never have been. And even though my body isn't as fit as it used to be, my mind is still in my twenties and I have to remind myself at times that I should be doing some adulting more often, lol.

That inner child loves to come out to play. My children (two of them are adults already, the youngest is 17) usually shake their heads at some of my antics. But as they still ask me for advice and share when they need an ear to listen, I think I'm hitting the balance pretty well. Like when I'm dancing in the kitchen and singing along with Tears for Fears, SHOUT, I'm definitely letting it all out. But I also clean, chop veggies and cook at the same time. As cooking is not my greatest passion, dancing and singing definitely makes it a lot more enjoyable!

So that's me at almost 53, giggling with Tyler over a funny Netflix series or hugging and loving her up to make her now, thankfully much less frequent, bouts of anxiety go away. But now to my special gift for YOU in honour of my birthday (I am also publishing a free book on my birthday for the romance lovers, in case you're interested, if so, check out my social media posts on it):

FREE Goddess Masterclass with Guided Meditation

I am giving a FREE 2-hour master class for women who want to embrace their inner divine feminine further. In this master class, held via Zoom, on Wednesday, the 6th of November, from 8 pm to 10 pm German time (7 pm UK, and 2 pm New York), I am going to introduce the Divine Feminine and why I think it is important to work with Goddess archetypes, not only to heal our Divine Feminine within, but also the masculine - inside and out. It will be an interactive class where you're able to ask questions.

I will also guide you through a deep visualisation to meet the Sumerian Goddess Nisaba. Why Nisaba, why not Aphrodite or Sekhmet or Mokosh, you might ask? First of all, I pulled her from my Goddess oracle for this event. But as I meditated on her, it became clear to me.

Nisaba is a loving Mother Goddess, but at the same time, she is also a scribe, a record keeper, and symbolises abundance. You could say, she combines the best of many worlds within her many aspects. She teaches and brings wisdom, she is the dark creative force, the golden light of knowledge and wisdom.

And that is what we do as liberated, empowered women. We teach, we love, we nurture, we share wisdom and knowledge and healing. We tell stories and keep records, written or in our heads. We have not only our own schedule in our heads, but that of our children, our elderly loved ones whom we have to take to their doctor's appointment, etc. And some of us journal, or literally write stories. As do I and I know some of you do, too. What are the stories you tell others? What are the stories you tell yourself? How much do you love, yourself and others?

Nisaba is all that and more. And she has an amazing, powerful, yet gentle energy that is amazing to work with and be inspired by. So if you want to go on a journey to meet this unique, wonderful Goddess, I invite you to sign up for my free master class next week Wednesday. There will be a replay for those who can't make it live, but from past experience, I know how powerful it is to join live and be able to ask questions and share experiences. I'm so looking forward to see you there! Book your place here (you can choose your timezone when booking):

OMG, you've got to read this!

Hello my beautiful souls!

Have you had that? Everyone is raving about a book, so you pick it up or download it to your e-reader and the next thing you know, it's blowing your socks off.

Yes, it has happened more than once that I really, really didn't like a book that came highly recommended like that, but who wants to be a Debbie Downer and talk about that? Not me!

The plan was to write this week about something else, something I am waiting for, something that is yet to be delivered and hasn't yet. Besides, so much has happened in the family this week, nothing bad, just taking up a lot of hours out of my days, that I didn't even have time for more research. And yes, my own spiritual practice and my studies need to be squeezed in there, too.

Anyway, so this week didn't go as planned, but I am excited to write this at a later date. What I'd love to discuss are great books and some book manifestations magic, Tirzalishezz-style. Haha! Yeah, I said it! Tirzalishezz is actually my old screen name, from back in the days when I worked with a London-based music producer, recording some of my poetry and a lot more spoken lines for other music producers and DJs from old school hiphop to deep, dark house club scene styles. It was fun while it lasted!

The Missing Element by Debra Silverman, M.A.

Anyway, back to books. I just finished Sinead Fine's (Tarot for Women) Introduction to Astrology course, and one of the many, many books she recommended was "The Missing Element: Inspiring Compassion for the Human Condition" by Debra A. Silverman, M.A. I've been familiar with the concept of the four elements since the early 90s, when I started out into adulthood and my esoteric/occult/spiritual journey, and I don't find this book a waste of time to read.

It's really worth going back to basics and revisiting the foundations and deepening it. I find that when I do this, through my personal growth, I find new layers, new insights and a deeper understanding each time. So whether you read Tarot, interpret birthcharts or do witchy workings, it is always a fundamental tool to have.

Your Next Six Figures by Natasha Leigh Bray

The second book I'd like to introduce to you is by Natasha Leigh Bray, "Your Next Six Figures: Reveal and Heal Your Way to Receiving and Holding Your Next Six-Figure Year, Launch, or Month-Without the Sabotage." This is about manifesting money in a very practical approach. Natasha, with whom I've had the honour to work with in a few of her events and courses, is the perfect example of how a woman can heal her heart to go from rags to riches, from an abusive childhood to a dream life with a happy family, while running a heart-led business, helping women in more than half the world's countries in the process.

In her book, she explains about the concept of success saboteurs she has identified and how to heal them to be able to bring in - and hold - more money, without sabotaging yourself or blocking income through deep-rooted feelings of unworthiness. She is an award-winning entrepreneur and will be featured in Joe Vitale's upcoming documentary movie. At present, she is nominated for yet another award, the Flamingo Business Awards 2024, for the category of Ultimate Entrepreneur Award, voting is ongoing, so if you know Natasha and her work, and want to support her, visit this link to vote:

Hekate Goddess of Witches by Courtney Weber

Book 3 is a witchy book: "Hekate: Goddess of Witches" by Courtney Weber. It is a wonderfully deep insight into the mythology, as well as the personal experience and practical applications of working with Hekate (also spelled Hecate) in your own magickal* practice.

I find this book very balanced, the author cites many sources, the book is well-researched and she clearly differentiates between  scholarly research and personal gnosis, while keeping it open to give you room to feel comfortable to embark on your own journey into the mysteries of this powerful and often misunderstood Goddess.

It has helped me to find a better connection to the Goddess myself and explore her mythology and personality, as she is not an easy Goddess to grasp and access. And I have to say, so far, it's been a delight. So if you love take-no-shit dark Goddesses, this book is a definite winner.

* I like to spell magick with a ck to distinguish it from stage magic, which is illusion and slight of hand, but to emphasise that I am talking about magick in an esoteric/occult sense.

When God Was a Woman by Merlin Stone

Last, but not not least, we have book number 4, "When God Was a Woman: The Landmark Exploration of the ancient worship of the Great Goddess and the eventual suppression of women's rights" by Merlin Stone.

As a woman who has dedicated her life to serving the Divine Feminine and helping other women to access, embrace and own their own divine feminine powers, I am well aware of the the patriarchal influences of distorting and degrading the feminine to win and keep power over women. And still, this book managed to grip me, surprise me, gave me new insights and - touched my heart in a way that was deeply profound.

As I was just searching for the perfect picture to go with this book of indigenous women, wisdom keepers of the old ways, I came across many beautiful women, proudly wearing their traditional regalia and celebrating their indigenous identity and faith.

It was a hard choice, but when I saw this picture above, it spoke to me. Those eyes looked into my soul, reminding me of a past life in an African village, where I was a part of society, a family with grandchildren, the wise woman, the healer. I was happy, cooking over an open fire, my granddaughters around me, one of which had inherited the gift and I was teaching her. I was full of love for my family, my people, and I was so deeply loved and appreciated in turn.

However, one day, a war lord from a larger village further away came with his men to abduct me to boost his own status, having a greatly renowned wise woman to work for him. We marched for several days, in the village, I was treated with fear, but respect, because people did not dare to upset me in case I'd curse them. The grandiose ambitions of their leader weren't their fault, though. I had no desire to hurt anyone. But I was homesick for my loved ones, feeling alone and ostracized from people who didn't understand me and didn't trust me.

I never returned home. I never saw my family again, my beloved people, my adored granddaughter who would have to fend for herself to master her powers and gifts without guidance from me, her loving grandmother and teacher, her guide and safe haven.

This is merely one of the example of what is commonly referred to as the Witch's Wound. Women have been suppressed, instrumentalised, mistreated, degraded, tortured and murdered in the name of toxic masculine patriarchal dominance and power. We all have it. It lives in our DNA, in the mass unconscious collective energy all over the world and we need to heal it, one woman at a time, one man at a time. For there cannot be balance and a healthy society if half of it is stuck in toxic patterns, male or female. Men are wounded by these toxic patriarchal structures and belief systems, the same way as women are. They usually are just much less aware of it.

This book helps to gain a new perspective, changing history - his-story - to her-story and giving a voice to the beauty of the feminine.

And if you want to explore and heal your own inner wounds around this topic, I offer you to explore past life regression with Goddess healing which you can book through my website. I'm looking forward to serving you!
